The big items have yet to be announced - upgrades, EUA versus coupon, elite tiers, E+ availability?

I heard yesterday (talking to an agent) that there would be reciprocal upgrades - but no details on who (UA/US) or whether this applied only international upgrades?
Maybe the bad news has yet to be announced?

It is only EQMs that appear to be going away, which was pretty limited on EK anyways (only 5 flights system-wide).

I disagree that this is the "big" item.

It won't be anything reciprocal on US; they aren't anything more than another *A member as far as CO is concerned. And how would there be reciprocity on international upgrades when CO doesn't really offer them anyways??

8) Still wondering what value the concierge's add to my BF experience...

1- They are building a higher speed train to NRT - It will save 20 minutes

8- I wondered the same thing on my last trip to BRU last weekend

Now, I need to book a USH flight before October 27...

It sounds like only EQM are going away, not RDM or the ability to tack on USH to your reservation.

Wait - can it be that the 2010 OnePass changes aren't actually all that bad? Hopefully there are no bombs that they're waiting to drop...

I'm reading it now, and most are actually really good changes! 100% EQMs, elite bonus miles based on the 500 mile minimum, not actual miles, waived same day change fees for Platinums… I've got no complaints here. Sure, there's a slight reduction in bonus EQMs and EQPs on high fare classes, 100% EQMs on the discount stuff more than makes up the difference on that for me.

Of course, if you're familiar with UA Mileage Plus, these changes will look very familiar…

Awesome! I'll look forward to riding on them this weekend. Last time I was there in early April, the E train I was on still had the old equipment with the rough ride, squealing brakes, and non-functioning AC.

Most of the new changes are very good and quite welcome. There was a nearly across-the-board increase in redemption rates for longhauls from the U.S. (about 5,000-10,000 per reward category in J), which is meh. However, I did notice this...

Round-the-world Reward: Create a Round-the-world itinerary for 160,000 miles in Economy Class, 220,000 miles in Business Class, or 280,000 miles in First Class.

I need a good run for the weekend of the 25-26th of this month. Any ideas?

IAH-SEA is $208.

As for the 2010 changes, they look alright, I'm a little disappointed to see earning on US Helicopter and Emirates going away.

But that's just the loss of EQMs, EQPs, and elite bonuses, isn't it? I don't see any mention of the loss of base redeemable miles on those services.

Sprints announcement isn't bad, on the Everything Data 450min plan, now includes unlimited nationwide mobile to mobile minutes, to any mobile on any network.
