About to get on my co cr2

That sucks. I've managed to avoid those for months now.

Not like the Marriott IAH or so I hear, never stayed there, never cared to :D

I've stayed at the Marriott IAH several times and never had an issue with noise. I also keep the A/C going because I am built for Alaska so maybe that might have something to do with it. ;)

On my cr2, broken seats flickering lights it is great.

 thanks for letting me know I was looking at that for a trip in Oct.

even the 4P at PHL is fine.(all at the same complex)

Reading some reviews, there is a mix of opinions on how bad the noise is at the aloft. I thought it was too loud for the type of property.

I love those initials. :D I'm only down there for two reasons: the work schedule is great and I was beginning to have serious evil thoughts about some of my co-workers, at the gates. I hate working hard while others sit or stand around looking busy or do such a bad job that they aren't scheduled to do anything difficult.

The Westin it is then. We won't need the shuttle, so no worries there! Thanks! ^

The Westin and Sheraton are across the street from each other. The Westin is definitely nicer and you can hang out in the pool/hottub while watching planes land from the roof. :)

Indeed, but one cannot chose where ones parents grew up and decided to raise a family. :-:

Interestingly enough, my wife actually lived in ANC for a year before we met. I'd love to live up there and she has a guaranteed job, but the only thing there is for me to do is work up on the North Slope and that's not something I look upon too keenly.

I've stayed many times at the Marriott IAH. Never had any noise problem but the rooms are just rooms. Big but nothing special or pretty about them. The hallways remind me of a Motel 6. The best part of this property is how close it is to the airport.

I'm currently scheduled on a DL CR2 from BNA-JFK tomorrow (766 miles). I think I'm going to exercise my free SDC rights if possible ...

I've never had noise issues at the IAH Marriott either. It's quite a long way from the runways, and with its position dead center in the middle of the airport, it's not under the departure or arrival paths for any runway. The closest gates where there might be noise are at Terminal B and C South, but I've never really noticed any noise from those.

It's fine, but nothing special. I know there are some posts on FT that go on and on about how horrible that hotel is, but I've certainly never seen any reason to really complain about it. I don't think it's great, but there's nothing wrong with it either (other than the fact it's just average).
