It's really been one heck of a  day already...
I get phone calls from two people at the same company asking me for different data (that isn't easy to find) all while I have their original work on my plate, which is a massive data pull that has to be planned out and tested. I'm usually a pretty calm guy but I hung up the phone and used the "F" word under my breath. The thing is, we've explained to these people that any data from '04-'05 should be considered unreliable. It was during a software transition and things were not done ensure the data transferred perfectly. This isn't my fault and grilling me over why that happened is completely unproductive, I have no idea why it happened, I didn't work here then. :td: It sounds like we are all haveing a  week. What's everyone doing at work this week? |

Pink bathroom from he!! woes continue. When I installed the shower valve I lined it up vertically with the existing shower head and the original 1963 mounting block (I can see the screw holes) Well I just notice that it's all offset nearly two inches from the drain. I'm glad I consider this "temporary" as the new white tiles in the repair area (was beige) don't exactly match the pink.

One more reason I hate Hilton....
My parents came in town to see us for a few days and stay in our apt. while we go to SAN this weekend. Last night I checked them into the Hilton on Ave of Americas. They have stayed here many times before. You would think that as a Diamond the hotel would automatically put you in their best room available, right? Nope, I guess not with out asking... After I got the key, I stuffed it in an envelope and gave it to the concierge to give to my parents when they arrived (after midnight). This morning I went to have breakfast with them and met them in their room. The hotel gave them the crappiest room I have ever seen at this hotel with 2 double beds. I would compare this room to my recent stay at the Hampton Inn in Milford CT which hasnt been remodeled since the day it was built in the early 1980's. Howard Johnson even has nicer rooms than this. My reservation has always been 1 King bed, high floor, away from elevator. I guess you could say its my fault for not asking for the best room and making sure there was only 1 King bed in the room but should I really have to do all this? If my stay at the Hilton La Jolla this weekend is like this, I am done with Hilton. Period. I will still stay at DT, ES, HGI and HI but the full service Hiltons are crap. So far, HI and HGI's are the only hotels that seem to get it right in the Hilton Honors brand. I was Diamond with Hilton but haven't stayed there in about a year.....thy've downgraded me to Gold but I'm still sitting on over 300K points that I'll start burning one of these days. |

You can still come down to the BS department to give me  without us delaying your bag.
Please let me know the dates of your visit. It would be nice to get together. This new shift gives me lots of time off. :) Who else thinks it's :D that sfogate is happy to have a new position that puts her in a department with the initials BS...and she's HAPPY to be there ? Don't you get your weekly quota of BS in Teh Box???

I think ssullivan had less  than me as that was a complete gut job. I now can't get the shower spout unscrewed. I know they didn't have teflon tape back then but they could have used pipe dope so I can get this thing to budge. I don't remember the other bathroom being this bad but that was a complete gut job so I had full access to the pipe and I may have actually replaced in
I am surprised home Dept/Lowes and their DIY approach are allowed at all too... |

Looks like AA and UA have launched a fare war to Brazil from IAH, and the UA fare is good after the :-: transition...

They are moving to the Waldorf Astoria for tonight. Ive heard mixed reviews on the hotel but have never seen a room. It was 40,000 points (low season) which is why I booked it.
BTW, last nights stay was a paid stay so no excuses for "points stays only receive what we have left" |
