I have caved to the pressure from FM Purists and listed yesterday's flight as Northwest, rather than Delta.

Rode the same A319 today MIA-MEM.

My flight home from AMS was DL-painted and DL-crewed, but the ticket bore the NW code. Tail number was N827NW, IIRC. I listed it as NW. I am in the process of making all of my regional flights have the regional's code on it and the parent airline with the operator in parentheses, kinda a la ssullivan's.

You're right, an awl is such a crude tool.

A leather punch is a much better idea. I've also had luck with shoe repair stores.

Good. As long as NW is still an operating subsidiary of DL, the flight has a NW flight number, and the equipment is ex-NW irrespective of whether it has been painted in DL colors, the flight should be listed in FM as NW.

Nothing like an arch-bureaucrat of teh PWP to set you straight. :D

How do you know it was DL-crewed? NW FA's switched to DL uniforms awhile back, but if the flights were operated on NW metal, the crews usually were still from NW.

That's right. ^

Has the PWP 2.0 thread officially been announced yet?

DL has some weird uniforms floating around out there. One of the FAs on todays flight was wearing some sort of blood-red skirt+power-coat contraption (with what looked like pointy, padded shoulders). I really wanted to Sharpie a hammer & sickle on the back of it.

Don't believe so. "Early October" is the only timeframe I've heard announced.

Thanks, jrzyshawn. You're a peach. :)

Thanks. ;)

I am thinking about surprising the s/:) with another trip to LHR next year, but I am going to really have to stop it up with the c:eek:ins. I think BCN, FC:) or MAD might be better since we were in London last March. I think the s/o would love a trip back to the homeland (FC:)), I know I would

I know exactly which one you're talking about. They also often can be found wearing those monodress things, which also are a bit wierd. I'll see if I can find a photo of the one I'm thinking of.

That was pretty-much the case for the AMS PWP thread. Once I won the tickets, I made time. :D

If they shortened the duration of the thread to five, or even seven, days from last year's 10, if the thread started sometime between the middle of next week and the beginning of the following week, there probably would be time.

I certainly hope that it lasts less than 10 days, although I'm not even sure that I'll have time to participate this year.

Call the store and buy it over the phone. I'm sure they would be happy to mail it to you.
