All the ranting you hear from die hard UA flyers about how great some UA crews are has to be bogus. 5 UA flights so far this weekend and they have all been rather surly with all passengers. My personal favorite was the FA that yelled at a passenger over the PA - classy! The bad ones are out there though, and I've seen them plenty of times in the past. But the last bad crew member I encountered on a UA flight was around May 2008. |

No DL crew if it was a 747 or 330. DL's crews legally can't operate those aircraft yet. Until they merge their certificates, if the plane was originally NW's, then the crew came from NW. If the plane was originally DL's, then the crew came from DL. Doesn't matter what the paint on the outside is.

Should have clarified, my fault. I meant the cabin crew. |

I'm not nearly as materialistic as your old singer, but there are certain labels that I will seek out and others that I have sought out and been disappointed with. Case in point: Coach is nice, I won't say no to something with the Coach name that fits in a guy's wardrobe. On the flipside, you won't catch me in a Kenneth Cole store ever again. Their dress boots fell apart on me, and when The Pier at Caesars opened, I called the store for a hotel guest and got nothing but , as if they were saying "Who is he to call here and bother us? We're too busy sitting here and looking effete and pretty." I then went to the store for personal shopping, and no fewer than three salespeople glared at me. I can only assume that it was either because of how I was dressed (Polo, jeans, sneakers) or because I'm overweight. Either way, I felt like I was being judged and not being helped. It was really too bad because I was seriously considering a $500 pair of shoes. So, in short, F Kenneth Cole.
As far as salesperson attitude, just purchase your wares elsewhere, return to the store that gave you , and do this:

Good. As long as NW is still an operating subsidiary of DL, the flight has a NW flight number, and the equipment is ex-NW irrespective of whether it has been painted in DL colors, the flight should be listed in FM as NW.

This is the fifth DL/NW or DL/CO itinerary I've had this year, and the fifth one with this kind of problem. It may have something to do with the travel agent booking it as well, although I've had similar problems with a CO/DL combination reward ticket earlier this year.
After this I have one more trip purchased that involves DL/CO/NW on the same itinerary — our trip to Bussels and Amsterdam in November. I'm already dreading the mess that one will probably be too. DL may be the biggest airline where I live, but they are giving me zero reasons at all to fly them once CO is no longer their partner. |
I'm seated next to an open-mouth-chewer who is happily smacking his way through hummus and olives at the filled-to-capacity ATL Concourse B SkyClub.

I have flown DL several times in the past year and fortunately did not have advance seating issues, though I did need to make fairly stern requests to their 1-800 customer support team as they tried to blow me off.

On the connecting flight, I was seated in F next to a gruff-looking 280-ish pound man in his late 50's or thereabouts. The flight departed ATL at 8:00 am on a weekday, and the guy drank four doubles of Jack on the rocks before we arrived at BWI; one before takeoff and three during the flight. He clearly was going to some business meeting after the flight and was not on vacation. I found this somewhat amusing until the guy shoved me on his way out of the seat pair (I was in the aisle waiting for the door to open; he was in the window). This was an actual, full-force shove, too; not just a semi-innocent brush-by that occurs from time to time in the confines of an aircraft. Needless to say, I had a "conversation" with the individual about his lack of manners after we both exited the jetway. |

And I have grown tired of this type of behavior as it is happening on almost every flight, albeit to lesser degree. What ever happening to orderly boarding and disembarkation? There is no need to push, jump over 3 rows to grab your bag, or smack me in the head in your haste to get off of the plane. We all have places to be and you really are not saving a heck of a lot of time in the big picture of things. Especially after I throw a shoulder in to you for being a d'bag! |
