I want to be by the airport, but when your wife is traveling with you, her happiness and ability to get a full night's sleep is priority ;)
Not like the Marriott IAH or so I hear, never stayed there, never cared to :D |
CO 1B is CO 1E's evil twin. :-:

Ugh, thanks for reminding me I still need to trek up to some way-out suburb of Atlanta where there's a plumbing supply place that supposedly can get anything in the world to see about getting replacement valve cartridges for our tub and the guest bathroom shower.

I should have done that but the one time I actually did it I was staying at the Hilton SEA. Upon check-in the guy said let me give you a better room, this is the worst room in the hotel. It was right next to the elevator and half the size of the typical rooms. Because of this, I have always just waited to check in fearing that the next person wont be so nice to tell me the room sucks. It would be really helpful if they showed you a layout of the hotel (ie. exit map they have on the backs of the doors) so you can see what the rooms are like. I think they might do this at ES or at least the one in Lubbock.
Just out of curiousity, what's your MyWay preference for the Diamond amenity at full service Hiltons? That does affect your ability to get room upgrades. |

I've not had a problem at any recent build airport hotels(5 or so years), they are much better insulated and prepared than the airport hotels of old.

UA only wants to sell ATL-IAH on US via CLT.
Looks like I can force connections via IAD or ORD (IAD is preferred due to more miles) using multi-city routing though, and still get prices that are reasonable. Now to just avoid the watchful eyes of the corporate travel agent who says "There's a nonstop availble…" |

The aloft PDX was pretty bad. I had stayed at the one near PHL and didn't hear anything but the one in PDX was terrible. Not only could you hear every jet very clearly but the entire building would shake.
even the 4P at PHL is fine.(all at the same complex) |
