Chances of all my dive gear being fully dry when it comes time to pack up in 3 hours: 5%
Chances of my wanting to vomit when I open the bag in 96 hours upon arrival back in NYC: 100% I'm not looking forward to this at all. :( wet towels, boardshorts, rash guards and reef booties are yummy  |

That change must be made in the cable box which you must be able to see in order to make the change. With the both HDMI cable and component cables running from the cable box to the TV, go into the cable box menu and switch the video output from HDMI to component. Then switch source on your TV to the component input.
After that is accomplished, ensure the cable box audio settings are correct in not trying to send audio over the HDMI cable. If the sound is unfunky, there is a high chance the TV is foobaring the whole shebang. |
Only six more workdays of telling people the same concept repeatedly.
"If you don't do X, (bad thing) will eventually happen" "If you don't do X this week, (bad thing) really will happen" "You blew the deadline; (bad thing) happened and you can't implement your program" "You continue to ignore the deadline of May; (bad thing) explicitly prevents you from implementing your program before next fiscal year" |

I tried to run the component video and the RCA audio to the cable box from the surround sound system and I couldn't find the video signal, but I had an audio signal.
ETA: No comprende "HDMI for video only". I thought HDMI's meaning in life was to carry audio and video together. |
