Anyone else optimistic about the new LCY-JFK service that started today? After using LCY last year I can not rave enough about the convenience and efficiency of the airport. I think people will tolerate the quick stop at SNN as it is still less than dealing with the mess getting to and through LHR.
Plus, for us aerogeeks, it is pretty cool seeing the baby bus! :) The seats don't look all that great, but it would be nice to have the simple small plane and ease of LCY. |

This would have been March '06. It sounds like you, odd that I remember it, but I think you stood out. :p We checked in on a Thursday and checked out on a Friday, so I would have passed by around the morning. :-:
Odds are you checked in to the hotel in that cramped lobby with all the mirrored columns in it. You went to a Front Desk that wrapped around one side of the room. 1st floor, South Tower. That Front Desk has an interesting story behind it as to why it is shaped like that. Back when it was TropWorld and the building had an indoor carnival right next to the casino floor, the area that is now the Front Desk was where a small train ride ran, not unlike the kiddie trains in malls. monitor might remember such a thing. March of 2006 was a time when I hadn't yet given in to the fact that Tropicana employees were some of the most de-motivated human beings I'd ever met. I may have stood out because I was actually the only one attempting to get stuff done and make sure people were (shock) happy. |

If it doesn't meet the rules to be slaughtered correctly, it's unfit for humans to eat. Open and shut case, IMO.
The new service launches with a daily return service on September 29, except Saturday (London City Airport is closed from 12.40pm on Saturday to 11.00am on Sunday), increasing to two a day from mid-October. |

It wasn't dead when they captured it. If they didn't kill it they could have sent it back to the farm or let it recover from the drugs.

Hmmm... ORF-PHX Q-UP $605++ on UA... Allows you to route as far West as GEG/BOI/SFO/LAX.

My friend's boat made the news - and I hope his insurance was paid up.

Does anyone know what the fares are like for LCY-JFK? I'd imagine they are charging a premium, but I'm curious to know how high it actually is...

That interests me. Time to play with it and see what kind of routings will work. I wonder if you can do ORF-IAD-DEN-GEG-SFO-PHX, or ORF-ORD-SFO-LAX-PHX.

Fare is good for travel through Nov. 16. No advance purchase necessary. Routing Rules (plug into route maximizer for best routing strategies):
[KVS Availability Tool 5.1.0/Diamond - Routing Rules: ORF-PHX/UA/HUAUPN/606 USD] Code:

I just discovered that the Sheraton near Cork, Ireland left SPG this past September. :(

Not cool. That was supposedly one of the nicer SPG properties in Europe.
