It's currently 90 outside and 81 inside. :td:

It's official. I didn't clear the waitlist, for a class I need to become qualified for the area I wish to work in. Going to Plan B....which means I will still be working at the Gates. I am n:mad:t happy.

64 here. Sweatshirt time for me.:D

Sorry about the job...how long do you have to work this schedule before you can change again?

Any change of getting the training to work in the PClub?

Sorry about work, do they not let people know in advance about such needs of training, or just conveniently left it out?

I was stunned at amazed at how busy SFO was at midnight last night, and for that matter IAH this morning. Lots of people, everywhere! C South PClub was busy, A was packed, only a few seats open.

I was aware that Baggage Service requires one to be qualified. How long one stays qualified is subjective. You either become qualified by working a shift there or taking a formal class. I have worked in the area in prior bids but not within the past 12 months or more. I was on the approved list on Tuesday but removed on Wednesday. You could blame me for not forseeing the future bid line as being one that I want or you could say that this local rule is quite arbitrary.

Baggage Service is not a place that I would normally bid for, as I prefer staying at the Gates. The reason I want to bid into Baggage Service this time, is because the work schedule is wonderful: work 3 days, have 4 days off. Whereas the Gate shifts are 5 nights a week.

The new work schedule will remain in effect until January or a major schedule flight schedule change. I just wanted to work more hours in a day and spend less days at work. That's why the Baggage Service shift was one that I wanted. All the other shifts are pretty much 5 days a week. I bid number 1, so you can imagine my unhappiness that I can't get what I want, because of a subjective rule.

THe PClub is an interview position. I thought about applying but due to their schedule, I didn't like the work hours/days. I would have been last in seniority as a part timer, with zero choices of a work schedule.

Yep, that's about the only way to do it with pretty much any camera phone sold in the US. Supposedly it's to help cut down on photos being snapped discreetly.

Wait about two weeks and do that trip again right after Labor Day. If this year is like the last few years, they'll be hardly anyone in the airports. Aaaah, I can't wait. Summer travel is always so  and  and  and :td:.

You are so right. The funny thing is, last night wasn't a bad night. Some nights you couldn't even walk around our gate area due to all the people sitting on the floor.

This coming Sunday will be one of our worst nights, as we have 5 CO flights, 1 Sun Country flights within 4 hours of each other. Plus whatever AirTran is operating out of our gates. It isn't going to be pretty or quiet.

Agreed, it was all orderly and everything, the club was packed up still jovial. Just so many people.

BTw only read about 15 pages before I was OUT. someone just got murdered, but I wasn't in the mood to even find out more...

Sorry I couldn't keep the center seat open. Your flight only went out with 2 open seats.

Not a problem, was a good flight :)

guy next to me watched the TV all night, other guy slept and snored. I probably snored a little too :)

I wasn't even sure if 1 seat was open, people kept coming and coming and coming, and i thought they closed the door and another came..but we weren't late leaving so I don't think they reopened, just slow walking down.

Why is it so damn hard for my passport info to stick in the CO database? Every darn trip it seems that I need to renter it, despite how many times I have swiped it at the kiosk!

Flights I am in control of NEVER leave late. :D I closed the door 8 minutes prior to departure time and the plane pushed at 11:57, 2 minutes early.

I have the same issue. It has never, ever stayed on my profile.
