The Mall of America was kind of  IMO

+1 The rollercoasters are cool, though. The shops are no different than at any other mall.

Went to a restaurant today - used a coupon and then a gift card issued by the company and got a "Way to game the system, icurhere2" (she used my first name derisively) from the GM. I was a little miffed - if I had my wits about me, I could have really ticked off the GM.

"Actually, I didn't just get $32 in food for $20. You sent me the coupon for a free entree, I bought the $20 in restaurant gift cards for $8 on eBay, bought the eBay gift cards at Kroger, got double miles and 7 cents off per gallon of gas for the purchase of each $50 in gift cards bought at Kroger, got 2% back in eBay bonus bucks, 2 MyPoints per dollar on the eBay auction, and double reward credits in your company's own loyalty program for the food purchase. Essentially, I got the $32 in food for a net of approximately one dollar, tipping the server five times the amount I just gave your company".

Greetings from ICN. Shower and a beer has left me quite refreshed and ready to tackle the world (or at least this town). The pouring rain outside has made that less appealing. I had a couple walking tours lined up and then I was going to fake it from there. Looks like I am going to have to start faking it much earlier than I thought.

BTW, another crappy KE lounge here. The catering at breakfast is decidedly  with a bit of why did they even bother thrown in. :td:

Enjoy the day - I have to go finish mowing my lawn ...

Yep, it's a Simon mall with a roller coaster.

For those that need EQM's before year end on CO, there is a LGA-IAH-SMF run for $217 a/i (~3.6 cpm). I dont need it for this year but I booked a couple in Jan/Feb of next year to get a head start. One of them we are going to use to pick up the dog in IAH on the return leg which is only a bit more than only sending one person straight to IAH to pick her up. Workin the system ;)

Just the TGIFriday's at the Opry Mills Mall (they make some healthy options) - had to run errands in BNA today.

Accounting-wise, it was a net cost of about $1 for the two meals to me but much worse from the restaurant's perspective - I bought short-expiring (e.g. Monday) gift cards that probably wouldn't have been used. In other words, taking a liability that would have likely expired and adding a debit on top of it for cost-of-goods-sold.

I went to buy a $20.00 ticket from ticketmaster, then they tacked on 9.50 in fees.

I'd shop til I dropped in Itewan. Love the fake stuff and the fact that you can use USdollars for all your purchases.

In fact I don't remember ever changing money in Korea.

In case anyone is interested in reading the ALPA union pilot updates and humorous stories, they are posting on the other website. (a......crew.net)

It's entertaining reading.

I've been walking around DC today. Rolo will soon have mail ;)

I'm now at the Smithsonian American History museum. I figured I should see Julia's kitchen.

Archie Bunker's chair is there too. :)

As is the Puffy Shirt, the signpost from MASH, and an early copy of Kermit the Frog.
