What's the official rule regarding entry to DL clubs? Do we really need to have tickets?

I didnt have tickets when I entered the DL club in MCO, TPA and MIA.

Why is it so damn hard for my passport info to stick in the CO database? Every darn trip it seems that I need to renter it, despite how many times I have swiped it at the kiosk!

I've heard that the passport data needs to be refreshed after a few months of inactivity. That seems dumb, but that matches my experience of having to re-enter it every so often.

I'm holding off on coins until the 1st of the year - I want the spend on my HH AmEx to get me Gold. I'm too far from the spend target at this late time of the year. I might still do small orders on my Green card to boost the MR point balance.

IMHO the whole coins thing is going to be gone by then. There are too many people churning too many coins for it to last much longer.

Wow...the KL lounge in JFK pretty much sucks. Crowded like a PC with the same crappy cheese & crackers. Whiskey & Scotch are the only hard liquor available. :td:

I've been there. It's the lounge SU uses. My impression :rolleyes:f the place matches yours.

NH has camera for many years, and I found that they still have them on my recent trips on their international 77W and 763ERs. I believe their camera is in the nose landing gear, and during flight when the gear is up, it's switched to a belly cam pointing straight down.

For LAX-NRT, the first hour was nice over the California Coastal range and Monterey Peninsula. Then it was just the Pacific Ocean.

Saw the approaches to NRT and HKG, but on the leg back to LAX, I had exit row and there's no screen on the bulkhead. [NH still performs all safety instruction manually.]

A belly camera to look down as an installed option?? That rules.

In the A346 that camera is standard equipment to help the flight crew during taxiing, and ever since AA191 IIRC, there's not been any flight cameras domestically.

Since this work laptop is now mine to own and I found the right memory sticks for it, my only other gripe about it for the price is the low audio output. What's the smart move to make there: external speakers or new audio card?

Xyzzy, since I can't take apart a multi-quote while mobile, I'll disagree this way instead. I can't imagine that The Mint would shut down the entire thing because of churning. The coin program gets used legitimately a lot too. If it is found that FTers churning for points has a hand in bringing down the Mint's direct ship program, I would be most surprised.

Are you getting your $1,000 AMEX travelers checks each month too? My coin orders keep getting canceled. I'll keep trying every few weeks but I've pretty much given up. I got em for about $25k.

You can order travelers checks with AMEX card?

Audio...its just the speakers, on a lsaptop You'd not be able to change the sound card perse, could use a usb sound card, but the speakers are likely the culprit.

My new laptop has a nice set of internal speakers :)

I don't think the program can exist as it is for much longer. More and more people are ordering more and more coins. All they have to do is put in place a limit on the NA coins. I certainly hope they don't do that, but I do see it coming. Then again, the mint is certainly making money off of this. It also helps them to meet their Native American coin production quota, which is 20% of the Presidential production. Oh to be a fly on the wall at the US Mint

Meh. I'm rather .

If anyone finds themselves in ABQ avoid the airport SpringHill Suites. Unless you're just going for brekkie.

Greetings from C-North. I'm a little frustrated to report that they do, indeed, offer 2-ply here. Why, oh why, do we get the sandpaper in EWR and LGA when IAH gets comparatively heavenly 2-ply?
