kinda like riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

So, a moron gets ejected through the windshield. EMS shows and starts to work on him. Do they walk away if he wasn't wearing a seatbelt? And do they only bill people who don't wear seatbelts? And how do they tell if they have to scrape the guy up?

It's better for society as a whole to suck it up and buckle up so we're not having to pay for idiots to have the "freedom" on not buckling.

Driving is not a right, it is a privilege. If one wants to partake in that privilege, then one has to agree to the rules.

* Making them default organ donors - I don't see that as a constitutional issue.

But they are jeopardizing your pocketbook. We'll all paying as a result of their stupidity.

What commercial is that from. I know it's about choices and that photo is [heavy russian accent] swim wear. [/heavy russian accent]

Odds that Saha Air has a complete set, accurately translated into Farsi, for the use of its maintenance techs?

Is Not Possible. No bet.

Out of Guinness (actually, ran out yesterday); "reverting" to a nice black ale.

Even if they had the manuals, they probably still couldn't get parts.

IIRC, Saha Air basically cornered the market on 707 parts a few years back. Their airframes were some of the last ever built, delivered to the Shah in the late 70s, with very few airframe hours (Iranian Air Force barely used them before Saha started operating them commercially).

Don't forget the model specific maintenance manual, that's about half a box. The wiring diagrams, one full box. Plus customer installed options and engines neither of which I have gotten to yet.

Though speaking about Saha air, the Qatar manual was in English.

Was the Shah a big Steve Miller fan?

Ask their Air Force about that. They have been in asset-preservation mode with their F-14's since the Shah fell.
