Ahhh this flyover talk just brought a fond memory. Back when the F117 started doing the air show circuit I was eagerly preparing for a flyover when some Kettle next to me told me that I could not take pictures. Why? Because its stealth you know! I paused for a moment in both disbelievement and entertainment before responding "shhhhhh I have very special film" with a wink.

So true, but give me a BUFF any day of the week. We got a LOW flyover at the Cleveland Air Show in the early 90s and it set car alarms off for miles. :D

Isn't she the shrink on Two and a Half Men? If so, I have to put Glee on the list.

Never saw the BUFF live and in person in flight. :(
That's hilarious. I had no idea that the -117 was designed in concert with the Klingons. Apparently Lockheed installed a cloaking device. Seen it several times, and it never stops being cool. I will do some closet rustling and see if I can't dig up a piece of 30mm cannon brass for you. :D The "invisible" F117 story still cracks me up. MBM2 (Dad) was standing nearby and wondered why I had a funny look on my face. I tried to keep a straight face and continue the act for the Kettle, but damn it if that plane did not show up and save me from getting myself in trouble! I can only imagine the ripping sound of that cannon! |
Damn, looks like back o' da bus for me tomorrow on CO555. Thankfully exit row aisle, but damn I was hoping for the golden ticket! :)
Such is life. Anyone have a connection at flight ops to get the equipment swapped to something with 5 aisles in F? |
