I just finished an EOFT lecture, can you tell? :D

How's that treating you? One of the reasons I got involved with them was the ability to show even those who had econ-phobia that they have already internalized most of the basic rules and can make better decisions.

Cops at SFO ride bikes. They were also trying out a Segway to see if that was going to be another way of getting around the airport faster. Most of the cops thought that the Segway was a wimpy ride.

So true, but give me a BUFF any day of the week. We got a LOW flyover at the Cleveland Air Show in the early 90s and it set car alarms off for miles. :D

I'm definitely seeing the point that you speak of, and I'm not even finished with the first lecture. I also have applications of the thinking running thru my head already as it applies to the study of history...asking students what the cost of war vs. the price of war is, for example. I've never been a great rational thinker, so the course is going to be challenging. But, I knew and wanted that going in.

Segways are programmed to top out at 12mph. There's no way a talented bike cop limits him/herself to that should the poo hit the fan.

there is this strange 3 wheeled beast at both MIA and FLL, it is like a macho segway ripoff.

IMHO Bike Cops just look a lot less silly than Segway Cops.

Just as long as the bike does not have a white wicker basket with a yellow flower and streamers coming out of the handlebars.

Posting from Blackberry = no link ... but ... you may well be talking about the T-3; I've actually operated one of them.
