Enjoy the pre flight festivities as well as your trip.

Thanks - and glad you're back.

I still have to set my out-of-office message to say "if you have a problem related to (range of subjects), you must contact (person who is not me)". :D

Steak, spinach, potato chips, and Sam Adams - a minor celebration today.

Or a connection - no one can afford to buy that segment alone at more than $1 per mile (BNA-MEM is the same). Aside from that , we get decent fares and have I mentioned that BNA is a great mid-sized airport?

I've never set foot in your airport, despite flying through there twice. First time was in 2001, on a MDW-HOU direct WN flight via BNA. I didn't get off the plane. I remember the flight well for many reasons — the old MDW, back when it was a facility that should have been condemned decades before, the major delays, landing at BNA around 11:00 PM dead tired and just wanting to get home, and a handful of very drunk and loud middle aged women boarded and drank and laughed and talked very loudly on the flight to Houston, preventing me from sleeping. It was a truly miserable experience in many ways.

The first Friday in August of this year I was flying EWR-ATL and we were diverted to BNA. It was the first time I've seen the airport there in daylight, but still didn't get off the plane.

I have visited Nashville many times though, but have always driven there. I have relatives there, and as a kid, we made road trips every couple of years during the summer to Missouri, Nashville, and often home through northern Alabama to visit relatives.

Unless one wants to get violently ill after sprinting through the trippy tunnel.

Sounds like the average WN flight to LAS - every drink coupon book I've traded away on CC was intended for LAS flights ...

Yeah, one hour to get over there and back is pushing it, although it is doable if you're fast.

Evening, box!

Unfortunately, my eyes are not cooperating and keep closing.

Thanks to all my fellow boxers for the well wishes, good thoughts, and prayers.

It is wonderful to be home and while dosing off to FT I was thinking MRs and upgrades :D

Good evening baglady. It is good to hear that you are home and starting your recovery. Franny and I have been thinking of you since we heard that you were going in for the procedure that Plus1 told us about when we were in St Malo.

Heal quickly and to celebrate when you are out and about, we will be buying the first round (at least) wherever and whenever we can meet.

Sleepy time, Box.

I am a big non-believer of conspiracy theories in general and those involving the government in particular; they just are not competent to execute some complex plot in secrecy.

Ha ha, I had forgotten about that movie. I first saw it when I was about 7 on HBO (back when having HBO meant you had a white box on top of the TV set with a big sliding switch, and you put the TV on a certain channel and slid the switch to change from regular cable to HBO — and HBO didn't broadcast 24/7). I wonder how many Boxers even know that movie exists?

As for conspiracy theories, yeah, for the most part they're pretty much BS.

Welcome back! Glad to hear things sound like they went very well with the surgery, and that you're up to stopping in for a bit.

My record is clean! I promise! I've only seen the plane from a very safe distance — meaning a window seat in row 1 of a CO 737 taxiing for departure.

Agreed. CO if you need the EQMs to requalify. If it's early in the year and there's plenty of other opportunities to get the EQMs, be a RDM whore.
