A birthday, bringing the lurkers out of the shadows. :D

We need a "tag and release" gaff, to help track when and where they resurface, so we can piece together their migration habits. :-:

The rotating Mercedes :-: symbol on top of the tower in Stuttgart is pretty cool. They light it up at night to make it easier to navigate the city when drunk. ^

I got lost in Prague once trying to find my way back to the hotel, there is no beacon of guidance there for teh drunks.

Unfortunately, my wife has learned enough about CPMs to know that it needs to be under 2 or 2.5 to be a really good deal. I foresee this causing problems in the future if I need to try and sell her on a Q-Up that is over $150 (MSP-GEG).

Fortunately, she hasn't said no to any of my recent home theater purchases! ^

Good point. I guess I just assumed that Hartmann was more interested in the EQMs than the destination because he was figuring the CPM.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though... :)

But that doesn't change the actual cost of the flights. I never understood using TCV/TravelBank offsets to change the price calculation; you could use those same funds on a different ticket unless they are expiring imminently.

You're all kind of right.

I could use the TravelBank funds on another trip but I don't have another planned before their expiration in January.

The better half kind of wants to go to UIO but I figured I could scope it out first ;) She has no real interest in POS. If she didn't have a meeting on Monday that she can't miss, she'd be on the trip as well.

My three years of Spanish do not make me very confident in my abilities either ;)

As long as you didn't fall in the river, I would say you were never really "lost" ;)

With this weekend's specials, the most mile advantageous routes are IAH-POS and IAH-UIO.

For IAH-POS, the number of EQMs earned would be 10,248 (DEQM) at a cpeqm of $.02

IAH-UIO is only 9,400 EQMs and would have a cpeqm of $.03

I would only be in either for a full day. POS does not really interest me and there is no Starwood property in T & T.

Thoughts?

UIO, no question.

Expiration? TravelBank funds shouldn't expire if you've had activity in there over the past 2 (?) years.

I've got navigation from the Sheraton to Old Town/Mala Strana down pat. Also, if you get very lost, it's usually possible to find a Metro station. :-:

Yes, I rarely withdraw from my TravelBank account and never have had any credits expire.

I guess I took the membership validity to mean the validity of funds as well.

My mistake.
