Looks like you need to move from enjoy yourself to get the job done mode.

Scotch (itself a type of whisky) does that job well.

Crap - that "BEFORE" photo was scary enough.

What happened to last week's diet? Did you already lose enough so that you can now start on putting it back?

Diet started 27-Jul; I avoid NE and RI; and I don't get enough calories dedicated to alcohol to truly drunk-post (except for Monday of this week before teaching Tuesday).

My funnest departure out of SFO was on a fully loaded 733 that was a last minute swap for a 73G going to CLE. For one, I had no clue that the 733 had the legs for the trip. Secondly, I think we came damn close to dragging wheels in the bay as the pilot took just about every inch of the runway.

I once saw CO sub a 733 for a 73G on a SAN-EWR leg. I'm pretty sure that thing landed on fumes.

sfogate what hotel do you recommend by SFO for a quick night stay?

My choices at SFO are the Sheraton and Westin. The Sheraton was just recently redone on the inside so the rooms are amazing. The Westin is nice, though it's always a lot more $$.

Do NOT stay at the Four points. It's on the north side of the airport, the sketchy part.

Within range although I wouldn't want to be on that thing the other way (EWR-ABQ-SAN).

Thanks for reminding me that I still need to book that SPG free weekend night ...

Wow - The Monkees "Listen to the Band" is technically one of the worst examples of pop music ever released.

what did oscar wilde say? Never argue with a person with suspect intelligence, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I stayed in San Bruno on the north side of the airport, it was just fine. In fact i'd say pretty nice area surrounded by eating and a mall :D

I believe only one of the Monkees (Mike Nesmith) could play an instrument when the band was constructed. (Too late to fact check that, but think it's right). So the album was probably studio musicians who weren't exactly putting their soul into it.

Morning Box.

On my way back to IAH. I think this is my 8th time there in 3 weeks, and haven't had a Shipley once...

The Sheraton is my choice. It really is very nice and there frequently are some really good rates available.

Are you getting your $1,000 AMEX travelers checks each month too? My coin orders keep getting canceled. I'll keep trying every few weeks but I've pretty much given up. I got em for about $25k.

I know nothing of the travelers check option. Buy it, sign it, redeposit it?

Has anyone in the box flown either of these planes? If so do you have pics or can you point me to decent ones? I have until Tuesday to ticket the res.

My mother got the IB A346 last year. She is not at all a planeaholic and came away very impressed. IB also has a channel on their IFE that feeds to the vertical stabilizer camera during all stages of flight. I've never done it, but that's gotta be one hell of a fun way to watch an approach. ^

That's decidedly unfortunate.
