Accor has some extremely nice properties. The Sofitel I stayed at in Queenstown, New Zealand set me up in the nicest Suite I have ever laid eyes on.

Accor has great coverage in areas that many chains do not (South Pacific, Africa, South America, Australia/NZ).

Don't worry - Accor pretends Motel 6 doesn't exist on their website.

ETA: Steph3n already beat me to the joke.

Also, the [E]UA program includes up to one companion travelling on the same reservation. @:-)

I do like this part. It would be very nice if CO would do that as well.

I haven't gotten the email from UA yet. I guess when I called their Media Relations department last night to get some infor I was blacklisted. :(

It took me about five or six hours after that chart was first posted on FT before I got the e-mail.

Seems to be a logical solution, if you are travelling for leisure. But if you are travelling for business and need separate PNR, then it probably is no help.

Also, it eliminates the possibility of the Gate Date. :o

Got any pics of the inside? Thinking about staying there or at the St. Moritz (also Accor prop) by the lake next month when I'm there.

That about sums up my personal experience with them.

I used to feel the same way, but they've surprised me a lot this year, with mostly really great flights.

Yesterday I did encounter my first surly crews on UA flights in well over a year — the lead flight attendant on my ATL-ORD flight was just bossy, while the Shuttle America FAs on my ORD-IAH flight were rude and seemed to be on a mission to prevent a major air disaster because of someone having an electronic device turned on at an inappropriate time. They made no fewer than 10 announcements about it before we took off, including two announcements aimed at people wearing headphones connected to a turned off iPod or other media player. I got yelled at about my wireless mouse on my laptop, an announcement was made about being sure to turn off the Wi-Fi on your laptop, and when another passenger pulled out his BlackBerry to listen to Slacker and play a game, they swarmed down on him to make sure he had the device in airplane mode. Then, 45 minutes before arrival at IAH, and before we had really started our descent, on came the "Turn Off Electronic Devices" sign, followed by more announcements about electronic devices, including a flight attendant repeatedly sneaking up behind the passenger next to me in the aisle seat to make sure he still had his iPod turned off and hadn't tried to turn it back on when she wasn't looking. I'm not sure what the deal was, but this crew really had a major hangup about electronics on the plane.

Other than those two flights yesterday, my UA, and UA Express flights on Shuttle America, this year have been really good, if not excellent. I've had almost no delays, super clean planes, and have flown several aircraft they had obviously sunk some money into recently for interior refurbishments, including a 320 yesterday with new carpet, bulkheads, and new leather seat covers in both F and Y.
