It's rare, but we do occasionally see those. I would definitely like to check out Quebec City.

I have seen QC & Halifax, but not Moncton

Given the AA, HA, MX transfer ratio, I would say ~2 to 1 for HHonors to most airlines (excluding those three - otherwise one does the transfer themselves).

Sweet. I may trade them for an Amex MR dump into my BA account once Amex gets them set up as a transfer partner.

Give me free booze any day, and I'll choke down whatever they put in front of me in F (which was actually pretty darn good on ORD-SEA).

A philosophy on flying we share.

I've heard good things about Halifax, too. It's high on my list of new places to visit in Canadia (after Yellowknife).

Might be a challenge with BA - VS is one of the two exceptions to the official HHonors transfer policy at 1:1.

Speaking of keeping around multiple accounts, I recently cleaned out my DL account...I had just about exactly enough for a domestic RT with half in F and half in Y, and wasn't planning on putting anything more in there for the foreseeable future, so figured, why not?

I'm using it for a trip to ATL for a wedding this weekend. Definitely excited to be flying again.

I've also been sitting on 74,779 EQMs since last month...soooo close! I get to hit Shiny Metal #3 on 10/24 on one of the very last SkyTeam flights, and then get to do the return leg on 10/27, *A Day 1. Cool. (And no, I didn't know that when I booked.)

Another interesting stat: from the beginning of 2009, it took me...
Jan 1 -> Silver: 4.5 months

Gold -> Platinum: 5 months

and Silver -> Gold: ONE WEEK. A weekend turn to FRA during DEQMS will do that for you. :D

Not if I trade HHonors for Membership Rewards points (which would then be dumped into my BA Account), rather than directly for BA points. It would probably be easier to get someone to go ~2:1 with MR.

It took me about five or six hours after that chart was first posted on FT before I got the e-mail.

I still don't have it.

H:rolleyes:w dare you denigrate UA status by expounding on some of the features of TrueBlue2 that might serve as balm for those of them that really feel wounded?

IMO that discussion was actually quite on topic but how dare you mention B6 in the presence of all of these self-important UA elites who are miserable enough already without your nonsense?

I didn't notice that they got pissed at that, too. I'll have to go back and check. I thought it was quite appropriate as the guy was suggesting he might fly B6 if they had international partners.

I didn't even know they had a sign-up bonus until someone pointed it out to me recently. I had a healthy Sofitel Privilege balance that converted into A|Club Points.

I missed the part that you could get multiple vouchers.

One voucher wasn't worth it, but in hindsight a bunch would have been nice.

2,000 A|Club Points = Choice of: (a) $60 Voucher, (b) EUR 40 Voucher

Select according to prevailing exchange rates. The certificates, once issued, have a validity (printed on the face of the voucher) of one year. Assuming you've got the points for it, there are no limits as to how many you can order.

The multiple thing is border-line fraud. Registering for multiple family members, etc. to get multiple certs.

A few of my posts were actually removed. Go figure.

I don't remember what was actually in those posts. I'll have to ask to get the contents back.

At least they were just edited out rather than deleted so my post count remains the same. :p
