A get-together at worst.

And get-togethers are fine - three of the meetings I referred to in my provisional post were just one other FTer. I actually don't know any of the other BNA-ish members.

I should have a better idea of a local dinner @ the hublette in the next couple of days. Need to see availability for a private room for the wine dinner.

Almost half way done with the 30 minute presentation and I have 16 slides. This does not bode well. :(

I revise and condense until about an hour before the presentation when I have situations like that.

My concern is that I do not have enough. I mean, not nearly enough. Some of the slides are half filled with sample code.

My appeal was granted.

Speaking only as a Powerpoint victim -I mean presentee- a little unsolicited advice.

Two to three minutes per slide, and more white space than print. You probably can find some "rules of three" or something on the Net about the optimal number of bullets.

For the material you don't put on the slides, prepare and allude to single page memos, white papers, or other documents that you can provide to anyone interested in those details at the end of the presentation.

And above all, KISS it. You say that you don't have enough. Lose the sample code, replace with why they need what you're selling, why your stuff can't be beat, and what your group's, and your product's, distinctive competencies are. If you can't fill a half hour with real answers to those, you don't want to work for them anyway.

I'm confused - I interpreted your previous post as 16 slides and half-way through a 30 minute presentation. As noted below, slides should be up 2-3 minutes with a message to sear into someone's brain - you're elaborating on the distilled content on the slide. Otherwise, someone can get almost the same value just with the PPT file.

UA's official communication that they are changing how upgrades work. Here's an image of mine:

Good points all around, but a little above what I think I'm able to do. This is a mock presentation as part of the interview process for a job. I've been given about 20 pages of documentation about one part of this process and have a half hour to present how to implement those few things. I don't have the in depth information about why the product is awesome and other things like that because I am not yet working there.

Though I have implemented basic technical writing skills and kept points brief and to succinct. I think I only have one or two places where bullet points take more than one line. Still, I'm worried about being able to cover the time with the information I'm able to glean from the documentation. And, I'm not afforded the ability to add much fluff to anything because they are the experts on this product, not me. We'll see I guess. :o

So there are going to be EUAs on IAD-HNL. I could be down for that.
