Don't say stuff like that. I'd hate to see what the replacement cost of control arms are for my car. I just want to limit it to the ball joints and alignment. I wouldn't be surprised if they find more when they take stuff apart though.

I'm not sure where I want to go to push myself over to Plat for the year. I was thinking LGA but the hotel prices in NYC are

There's ORD and DEN, which are the cheaper options overall, but in the winter = :td:

What about SEA or PDX? A little rain this time of year and slightly cold, but truly some beautiful country!^

Partial success!

After a second attempt with UA last night, i've managed to put on hold

EWR-ORD(UA)-NRT(NH)-BKK-LAX(TG)-JFK(UA)

The second agent was able to do it without the SYD/PER legs. Now, to see if I can burn BD miles for the Aussie legs.

New lines obtained:
ORD-NRT
NRT-BKK
BKK-LAX

Not cheap to get up there. I don't need a ton of miles (1,200) so I'm willing to go cheaper just to get them.

Decided to tally up my new lines for this year, as well. 56 so far, with 15 more scheduled before January 1.

Fly from AUS or GRK, PDX is not that costly.

We are quickly approaching peak tourist season. I'd suspect the week before Thanksgiving my be lowest than any other week between now and the end of the year.

Cheaper and more-yielding MR just ticketed. Never thought I would break that cherry.

Anyone wanna join me for a lunch run to PHX on 12/8?

Gotcha!! Don't know if you use it, but a tool I find super helpful is India Kane's sight. Link is here:

Plug in your desired city (IAH correct?), and then you can sort by price.

Is that not just pathetic looking? Turns out there was a piece of very bland ham under that egg thing, too.

Other option was yogurt and fruit with cheese and crackers — basically the same thing as the deli plate at breakfast in Y on the new Choices BOB menu.

wow it looks like someone raided a club and added processed eggs and nasty looking sausage.

Exactly. Some of us CO/UA elites aren't bad at all. ;)

I thought about doing PHX as well since it's cheap. I'll check out 12/8 and see what the prices are. Wait, that's a Tuesday... Not going to happen.

I think that particular RCC is the only one with a CO agent, and that's only because that agent used to be in the joint NW/CO (which really more of a NW WC) club at ORD.

The PHX RCC also has a CO agent.

It was about that level of quality, if not a little worse.

The fruit, cheese, and crackers were good. So was the coffee. Croissant was average. Sausage, potatoes, and ham just edible. Eggs :td:. But I'm not a big egg fan to begin with.

The F deli plate they serve on some ATL-ORD flights is far better, and that's a shorter flight, to a market with a lot less service than IAH gets. Not sure what's up with it. Last time I did the IAH-DEN breakfast flight in F it was a good meal, on the F china.
