Almost 10 inches of rain in some parts of the county around AUS in the last 24 hours, and more is coming. Hopefully this will make a bit of a dent in the drought and raise the lake level a bit.

Easily. I think it's only fair to rename the username "PenaltyBox2009" after the year has ended, then create a new "PenaltyBox" account for 2010. If we keep this up, PenaltyBox would be the highest-mileage FM account in short order, and it simply wouldn't be fair to skew the rankings that way. Also, the map would soon become completely unreadable. :D

I'm donating about another 4,500 miles to the Box's cause this year. That's all for me, sadly.

I'd add mine but I dont have the time to get tail #'s. That would boost things up by about 90k BIS miles.

The existing threads on the offer to purchase upgrades make my head hurt, so I wondered if I could ask this group a simple question.

As a Plat, should I have been offered the buy-up at +24 OLCI? It is actually the second time it has happened and I thought it was not supposed to, but I am not entirely certain.

ASMs across the industry are down by the equivalent of a full carrier. It hasn't helped. I don't know why everyone thought it would since the cuts just hit the smaller routes rather than the big ones and the airlines are still competing cut-throat with each other on the other routes they still share.

Their management team will still run it into the ground, somehow.

You can still put in the flights and lines. You don't necessarily need to do tails when you input the city pairs.
