Has anyone else noticed Pat Sajak in the background of the Yankees/Angels game the last 2 nights? I thought it was odd that he was there until I read that he is a partial owner of the Angels.

I think Nike may have bought them or have something to do with them now.

I know. :D

Nike did buy them out.

Hockey equipment was nearly a monopoly before Nike and Reebok decided to compete. The Hockey Company owns Jofa, CCM, and I think one other big label.

ETA: Backwards as usual. CCM was bought by The Hockey Company, in turn bought by Reebok. I stopped keeping up a long time ago.

Did any of the Angels walk up and ask him for a W?

That thread may have had its, well, flaws, but I'll bet it has, like Lucy, SNL, and Seinfeld before it, added something persistent to the cultural lexicon. Maybe just the Box's cultural lexicon, but that's still something.

And when I think of ALCO's "Long John Silvers" post, I still start to laugh.

his job is probably safe now that they have qualified
