Just found out that I may have to go to SFO this weekend. Nothing left but completely full planes and B fares. Does anyone know if CO's "middle-seat guarantee" applies to both B and Y fares or only full Y?

If you're a Plat. on a B fare I give your upgrade chances at over 80% on a weekend, even on a trans-con. And, if not, I'm confident at least one person will get a battlefield. Tell the GA that you're stuck in a middle seat and if they up someone, can you please have their seat.
I've had luck with this. Even in EWR. |

Wouldn't this also prevent people from charging GPS units rented by Hertz?

The biggest ophthalmology conference in the world is this weekend in SFO so the flights are all full of MD's who, while most likely aren't elite, paid for F.
  :D  ETA: Gadfly - route via CLE or IAH? |

The risk neutral pricing paradigm is only valid if the option can be continuously hedged; if that isn't the case, the pricing argument reverts to Samuleson's (identical, except for a risky discount discount rate), model. There is a lot of implicit, unintentional fraud that happens when B-S is indiscriminately applied to non-financial-market issues (like employment options, pension issues, and the like). End of lecture. Sorry. |

I took a look at that....US through CLT or UA through DEN are both cheaper than CO through IAH so my company will probably want to stick me on one of those. At least the return trip will be after the *A transition so I may get EQM and/or EUA/E+.
Stay tuned for further details. :-: |

Hertz uses Always Lost which is a fixed unit in the cars (unlike Avis which hands over a TomTom). I believe the Always Lost is hardwired.

Shows how often I rent a GPS (never). I thought Always Lost was a Garmin unit, so I figured it used a standard power connector.
Refill? Did you burn sore more miles? |

RE: compound two people at a 1% growth rate until now [6000 years], and see how many people you end up with.
I located my HP-12 (yeah, I'm that old ;)), and got the answer: 16 followed by 25 zeros. Now, off to do some real work. |
