If doing coach, take UA. They have the best seat-padding. I only do US in F, but Y looks a bit  (though still more comfy than CO's brick seats).

I burned 60K last week on LAX-ICN-SYD. Need to get the balance back to 60K to book the return. Should have that covered in two weeks. :D

Plusyes. I'm hoping availability will reappear on YVR-SYD, but won't hold my breath. If availability opens up on NZ closer-in, I would probably switch to LAX/SFO/YVR-AKL to get down there.

Two flights down, two to go on my ATL-IAD-ORD-SFO-LAX trek. Two excellent flights on UA so far.
Sat next to an Airbus sales guy on my IAD-ORD flight. He was headed for UA HQ for a meeting, and was chatting it up with the purser. He told her to watch the news Friday. Sounds like UA is close to a decision on an aircraft order, but that's about all he said. |

Then you'll hate this part. After I got my C seat, the two friends I was traveling with (both kettles) to go skiing in Tahoe started ribbing me about being a "travel nerd". The GA said, "Oh....are you two with him? Let me see your boarding passes". She op-upped them to C also.

UA will be making a large order of A340-200s and A340-500s to deploy on routes like DFW-DEN, previously served by the 737s. :-:
