It seems that because of the unionized workers at United that a PC person could not work or help any of the UA folks that would be entering the lounge or needing assitance. To me this will set up the relationship for failure from the start.

Am I understanding this correctly? Surely you don't mean that a PC agent cannot handle a RCC member in a PC? Just that PC agents cannot work alongside UA employees in an RCC, right?

My eight-segment US F run this weekend went without a hitch. All flights were a few minutes early, except CLT-FLL last night, which had to return to the gate for an avionics issue. That flight ended up arriving only about 20 minutes late, however. I flew the last segment back to DCA in coach and sat in the stink shield row of a 734, but it wasn't really that bad. The refurbished US coach seats are much more comfortable than CO's coach seats, and have about the same pitch.

US F is still subpar compared with CO and, to some extent, UA F. I flew every type of narrowbody aircraft in the US fleet this weekend except the 752, including three ex-HP aircraft (a 319 and two 320's). All had refurbished F seats, but one of the 320's and one of the 321's refurbished F seats seemed to be a bit weathered already. On those aircraft in particular, my seats squeaked when reclining and were challenging to recline/"unrecline." Pitch on all aircraft definitely was tighter than that of CO domestic narrowbodies, and the seats definitely did not recline as much. The aircraft with the most room at the bulkhead appeared to be the 319. The 320's, 321's, and 734's all were a bit tight, even for someone as short as I. I prefer the F seats on the 734's to the F seats on the Airbii.

But for one surly GA at DCA, all the US employees with whom I interacted were very pleasant and professional. Many seemed to be going out of their way to be very friendly.

The weakest part of US' F service, however, is the no meal on flights less than 1,700 miles policy. A 2.5-hour flight during a mealtime should have at least a snack plate in F, IMO.

The 345 is barely possible with SQ miles.

Is this to get to PER, or for a different trip?

Actually a trip in June to catch up with a friend.

The PER itinerary is ticketed as far as BKK so far. Need to use some BD miles for the PER/SYD legs.

Now, that looks like fun!!!!! Not sure if you are using CO Miles, but if so, this just proves again that CO OP currency is worth a great deal more than UA MP currency with all that *net blocking going on. I cannot tell you how funny I find this with all that whining over the years from many, and reading all of the UA Fan Club posting about how much more useful MP miles were. Ahh the times they are a changin ....

Actually using CO miles. Though, the flights aren't available in Starnet. If you look at the link I sent to the thread in the UA forum, it appears CO is manually selling flights not available in Starnet.

No it means if the PC agents move into the RCC like in ORD, the that agents can't cross work with members of a different lounge according to this RCC person in DEN. Has anyone had this happen in ORD at the B Club? My understanding is that the agents can work from the same desk but that there would be an RCC line and a PC line. The patrons would not be able to use an agent from a different lounge than the membership that got them in. Again this is one agent saying this but it does seem to follow the lines of the ideas of union contracts as I understand them as an outsider.

Yeah, I believe Blissworld is just hammering them on that. Kind of funny since s/he is not the greatest fan of CO ever.

Mmmmm, boots. I'm excited about going to London over Thanksgiving. I should schedule my chiropractic appt for when I get back. :)

Interestingly though, those flights weren't showing up on the ANA site, there is definitely something weird going on.

I also tried for the SIN-DME-IAH flight, that was a big fat is not possible.

CM I apologize for not saying it sooner, but I'm very sorry to hear the sad news.

I crawled into the crew rest area on the 346 on the Technik tour, and jokingly said as I was crawling out of the compartment "FRA-PHL tomorrow, masseuse onboard please." Then I woke up with a crippling back spasm. It got so bad that I almost puked from the pain...felt the puke coming on as I was walking to the Biz check-in line. Had to walk outside and inhale lots of cold air to prevent myself from making a scene in the lobby.

Thank you, sir. On a better note, will you be able to confirm hockey today?

Sadly I think I may have to pass... I'm trying to see what I can juggle.
