SQ C/F rewards on blocked flights with CO miles. This won't last.

I've heard that Coeur d'Alene is an upscale area - it surprised me as well.

My joke was focused more on your choice of wording. I supposed I did not execute very well... :(

My bad. Place looked like paradise to me. If I could find a job up there (and somewhere affordable to live), I'd move in a heartbeat.

What about the part of him crediting to CO again, that was classic.

In other news, I was just able to grab LAX-NRT-SIN-NRT-LAX on SQ in F and C. Need to wait 24 hours to confirm though, so lets see what happens.

Is this to get to PER, or for a different trip?

Now, that looks like fun!!!!! Not sure if you are using CO Miles, but if so, this just proves again that CO OP currency is worth a great deal more than UA MP currency with all that *net blocking going on. I cannot tell you how funny I find this with all that whining over the years from many, and reading all of the UA Fan Club posting about how much more useful MP miles were. Ahh the times they are a changin ....

IMO, at $0.035/EQM, the PHL-PHX deal is decent but nothing out of this world. I prefer the sub-$200 SEA and SMF fares for about $20 more; unfortunately, these seem to be missing this year. :(

If I needed it for another status level, I'd definitely go for it but otherwise I'll pass.

I'm excited because I can actually convert on this fare this time. It was around last year for $2 less, and none of the dates worked for me. I did check SEA and SMF before deciding to book PHX, and I found nothing that was in the price neighborhood that had been reported during last year's EoY MR frenzies.

Looks like snow is on tap for this weekend's trip to Coeur d'Alene ^.

Also, there must be something in the water there. The mobile scenery is very easy on the eyes. :D

fozz and I were googly-eyed in Frankfurt over the ridiculous number of attractive women in boots. I'm told that London is even more of an eye candy feast at this time of year, but I'll take what I can get.

I just want to play that golf course twice. Once for score, and another time just to walk the course, hit a few balls here and there, and have a camera with me.

This should be fun. I'll go plug in the popcorn machine.

Sporadic reports of LH405 successfully crediting to CO accounts = - I've read more than one now and I am getting less and less optimistic.

I asked CO Outsider about the SQ awards, I think you were next to me. He basically said they were not available in the new cabins. All those seem to be 744 so It should work.

So CO miles Is Possible on 744's, and they are rumored to be replacing 744's at their earliest convenience. That's classy of them. Makes a snowball's odds in Hell look good against getting a mileage seat on either of the 345 routes.

Shoot me.

ETA: I should grab a cheeseburger for lunch.

What no beer cooler at the office. This is one thing I wish I would have stayed around for this past weekend. Would have been nice to do a little tourist activity.

There is a thread in MR Deals. PHL-IAH-PHX same day, 4666 EQM without DEQM, 164.90ai. Jan/Feb 2010 has a few good Tue/Wed/Sat same days and one-nighters. Don't do UA unless you can get a real freaky routing, because CO.com offers it thru DEN only at a penalty of about 500 miles vs. IAH.

Interesting.

Very true. I was surprised at the amount of automation in announcements in the cockpit during my takeoff in the 757 for the DO!

I would just like DEQMs in Jan. :)

You know I cannot recall any carrier offering DEQMs in January or February over the last 5 years which if you ask me is a royal shame! Generally speaking, that is when the ultra low fares to Europe are. That really would be sweet.:-:

Sorry for the loss of your friend. He died doing what he loved.

I sure hope that headline was just an unfortunate choice of words, and not some smart-a*s rim man's idea of humor.

My old boss at Tropicana inherited a SigSauer P220 from his father. It was of such a vintage that the stamping on the slide says "Made in West Germany". I'm guessing the pistol's value inched up slightly today.
