I'm actually laughing at the idea that LH is holding a meeting right now to determine who will win the *A mega DO contest.

Lots of airlines/teams do that with their sponsorships. Has been for a long time. I'm not so sure what the problem is with such an arrangement.
The  were for the article title. |
Got a mailer from a casino telling me Merle Haggard was performing New Years Eve. Sadly, there's little chance I'm spending New Years Eve in Primm, NV.

In August of 2008 I wrote a note in the Box stating I had just done something which could potentially change the course of my life. The process could take up to four years and had a pretty low guarantee of going anywhere.
I just received a letter in my mailbox that I'm now moving on to step three of the process and have to report next month for a physical fitness assessment. This will make or break me in this little experiment. Man, government moves slow. I had almost written this  off. Now I'm going to have to get serious about hitting the gym. :-: |

Sponsorships are a unique animal. I have been privy to many interesting ones, whether it be in my years of motorsports PR or through friends, several of which work(ed) with pro teams.
Sometimes it is just taking a check, sometimes it is purely a barter for services. IIRC the Browns had Delta for a sponsor and used NW prior to the merger. I am sure the list goes on and on, but it most cases it is simply a company wanting to grab air time on TV. |
Finally got more pre-printed Bank of America deposit slips - ordered before Labor Day. Coin visits just got a little more effortless.

Good luck. A year and half is not out of the normal for the Federal Gov't hiring process.
This is only Step 3 in the process. There's another 3 or so after this. But I'm the master of my own fate here.

Congrats - I can help you with some routines ...
My friend who's in the FBI told me to find the "biggest gallute" in the testing center as the measuring tool to make sure you go down far enough is someone's fist. That, and pad my chest with a plate. @:-) It's the same testing requirements as the Fed. Gov't uses. |
