I'm in paid F and want to try out the sleeper suites on the 744. Likely one of the few chances I'll get in my lifetime. Two hour flights are good for 30 minute cat naps. :)

I haven't managed to get much of anything done tonight I needed to thanks to a coworker calling and talking on the phone for 90 minutes. Now trying to decide if a trip to the hotel gym at 9:15 PM is worth it or not.

Maybe you can snag the upper deck, too!

ETA: The upper deck is C :D

I probably would hit the gym for a bit. Then again, I hit the treadmill before 3 a.m. in ZRH when I woke early.

I got bumped out of F on an LAX-JFK flight and was re-routed LAX-ORD-LGA.

I only got about an hour of sleep on the 744

The 763 or a 777, sure. I don't see the 744 on the schedule out of DEN for any of those dates, unless I'm missing something. UA hasn't operated the 744 on DEN-ORD on a regular basis in several years — although less than 10 years ago it was pretty common to see it.

Upper deck is all C on the UA 744, but a saunter up there to check it out isn't out of the cards. :)

UA 800, DEN - ORD on November 29.

There it is! Thanks — forgot to look at Sunday that week. It's also operating ORD-DEN earlier that day.

It's scheduled to run a late afternoon ORD-IAD trip this week on Friday and Saturday as well. I could have booked that one, but it would have meant getting home around 10:00 PM Friday night.

About a month ago I arrived at IAD from LAX on Friday afternoon and shortly afterward a 744 arrived at an adjacent gate. Turned out it was the morning SFO-IAD flight that normally operates with the 777. That flight had a sub for that day, as the schedule still showed it as a 777. The plane turned around and flew back that evening to SFO, again operating a flight that was scheduled with a 777.

So far with UA I haven't been so lucky. Lots of domestic 777 and 763 flights, but no 744s so far.

With my career change, I no longer have a priority to get the H1N1 vaccine while my schedule is flexible. Expected to participate in emergency response but no longer an emergency responder

Having only been one one widebody (CO 777 IAH - LGW) and absolutely thrilled at how massive that thing was, I'm really intrigued to jump on a 747 and, eventually, an A380.

Why waste drinking hours? That's what the morning is for. :D

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel gym at the Marriottt (city center) in Portland. It used to be a wimpy room with a few stair climbers, and now it appears to be several combined rooms with brand new equipment. ^
