I don't know this to be the case, but it would not surprise me if there are many palms that have to be crossed in order to do airline --or any other-- business in Russia. Maybe they just said no.

I know we hired Russian speaking FA's. I never heard why we didn't start that route.

This is true. Doing business in Russia is incredibly hard. The ATL-SVO flight started out as a joint venture Aeroflot. With AA, CO, and UA on these routes now it is doubtful that CO is going to start any flight to Russia.http://rolleye.com/sick.gif

I was just about to go to bed and I forgot something: rumors heard at the ACY-area travel and tourism business managment and ownership group dinner tonight:

South Jersey Transportation Authority (owners of ACY) are asking FL to consider ACY-CHI service. They believe the market can support the city pair; no word on frequencies.

DL is considering re-entering the ACY market, and in what I hope will be a death knell for NK: B6 is rumored interested.
