I got through to a supervisor in MN who had no problems assigning seats.

:D

That sucks. Where have you been flying since then?

I was mainly referring to the fact I haven't set foot on a CO aircraft since September 18, despite having had 21 flights since then.

I'm actually in the same boat. After this weekend I will have been on 38 flights since late-June but only 3 of them have been EUA eligible routes (PBI-EWR, EWR-PBI and MIA-EWR) - I missed all 3. My other flights have been on CO ERJs, UA/US or mileage redemptions.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, I still won't see many (or any) of those upgrade emails. I have 4 CO ERJ and 7 UA/US segments this weekend, next month I do EWR-PBI-EWR right around Thanksgiving (a tough time for upgrades to PBI), EWR-SFO-EWR (like those will ever clear!) and 2 more CO ERJ flights to MSP.

It's a shame that I did tons of cool flying (Europe, Asia, UA TPAC F)...and then I turned 9, and it ended. :p I don't think I've had much except a handful of 767's since then.

I agree, although I'm biased since it is my home airport. It is easy to move through and the staff are great. Coming in over the lake is always great.

+1. "Home" (as in, where I grew up) always makes CLE kind of nice - I actually don't think I've ever actually connected THROUGH it!

I had a bit of a  experience on DL this past weekend which I keep meaning to share, then forgetting. Alas, no time to do it now...since it's time to head off to NYC to see Jude Law as the Doomed Prince of Denmark. ^ Have a good evening, Box...

Congrats! The supervisor in Minnesota helping you out doesn't surprise me at all. From a service standpoint, NW was so much better than DL. And I find most of DL's people in ATL to be either clueless, unhelpful, or both.

You must return to share.

Have fun tonight — sounds like a great evening. I'm still looking at a full afternoon of fun at work, followed by an evening of dealing with the ultimate in  e-mails from my client in Louisiana who still thinks they're going to somehow manage to salvage this project in the next 60 days, after not having done much work on it in the last 450 days.

Well the reservation doesn't reflect the seats assignments online. I will check again later to see if they post to the site.

It is worth noting that I tried to assign seats using the DL chat function:

Not exactly - it would give you more dollars if you were to exchange the currency but wouldn't provide more purchasing power abroad immediately. Over time could make U.S. imports cheaper, though.

W:rolleyes::rolleyes:h:rolleyes::rolleyes:. My upgrade has cleared for my CR7 IAD-ATL flight on Friday. That's the highlight of my day so far.

None of the historic landmark early Hiltons in Texas are still operated by the Hilton company though; a few are still open as hotels, including the Dallas property, which Intercontinental has now as a Hotel Indigo. The original hotel, in Frisco, Texas, is a local museum.

BTW the original hotel is NOt in frisco, it is in CISCO. Out west near abilene.

I so hope you CLICKED HERE to take that survey and you were honest about your experience.

Hope the seat assignments show up. Which site are you looking on? Is the metal NW or DL? There have been a lot of issues with NW flights not showing seat assignments on DL.com, and DL flights not showing seat assignments on NW.com. Good luck. I don't envy your situation after the mess they put me through on my last DL flight with seat assignments that were changing several times a day and an aircraft swap, and me ending up in the middle seat in the last row of a MD-88, while they put standby passengers in prime aisle seats that were left empty after boarding all of the confirmed passengers — and told some of us confirmed passengers that the flight was 100% full and seat change requests would not be accommodated.

Yep, knew that, brain fart when typing. Already discussed. Move along now. Nothing to see here. :p

I did fill out the survey; however, I don't expect anything to come of it. :D

The flights were DL miles on NW metal. I just emptied my DL account, so this experience doesn't matter. The NW supervisor put me in exit row aisles the whole way. ^

Can we start a new rule that you may only post in forums for airlines that you actually fly on a regular basis, as opposed to forums for airlines that you once flew and hate so much that you would rather chew your own arm off than fly again? I don't go on the DL forum and p**s all over the place. It would be nice if some people would stick to the B6 and UA forums, since that's who they're giving their business to anyway. The FT world would be a much better place.
