Are you going to be at CLE on Friday or Monday evening? I forget what days of the week you typically make your way down to DFW...

Hey there sdm1130! My usual schedule through CLE is Monday for an 8:38 am departure and returning on Thursday night around 10:51 pm. So no Friday or Monday evenings :(

This weekend, I get an extra bonus CLE time with a quick trip to ORD Saturday morning, home Sunday afternoon. "Inlaws". Ugghh. :)

If you ever can plan a weekend stop-over, let me know. We'd be happy to host and play tourguide.

Ah, found it. That's new — not downtown, but in the new Bridge Street Town Centre development adjacent to the research park, and across the interstate from NASA. That's two new full service hotels in Huntsville in recent years — the new Embassy Suites that is downtown opened in late 2006, and is a rather nice property too.

It's really not a bad place at all, especially for a city in that part of The South. It certainly benefits from having one of the most highly educated adult populations in the region, as well as having much higher than average household incomes, thanks to the fact that the only reason Huntsville isn't still a small town is because of NASA, the associated companies that support NASA, and UAH. I miss working there — one of my all-time favorite clients.

It's just a matter of time until they move. Kind of crazy they are spending the cash to remodel now though.

Employees first, customers second, shareholders third. It's really not that difficult.

Nothing about that surprises me.

Plus1 - my limited Northwelta experience this year made me long for easy access to A330's, but other than that I was unimpressed.

The video of him stopping the show for a cellphone in the theater is really quite funny.

I made the mistake of going for a haircut. When I was 16, I thought my hairdresser was hot. Now, she's 36 and I'm 28...we have both tumbled downward. I asked her to buzz the sides and take off about half the bulk on the top. My hair hadn't been tended to in way too long, and the top of my head probably had close to four inches of shaggy crap on top. I look like an onion. I'm pissed. belynch will have no trouble finding material to break my stones over when I see him for dinner tonight. Hopefully by the time Chicago comes around, this will have grown in at least a little.

Now the decision to make: give my girl one more shot, or go to my fiancee's full-out salon and day spa for haircuts. (I can be freakish about my hair sometimes...) Downside: severing that existing relationship. Upside: girl who did my hair at the fiancee's place much younger, much hotter, and I had a great cut when I tried her last time. Downside: she is three times as much before tip. Who the hell knows. It might all be moot because I might end up moving for a job. I look like an onion. I'm pissed. Did I mention that?

They've had a full service Marriott for years, adjacent to the NASA complex. There's a lot of business travel in and out of that city.

I tend to make one or two passes through CLE each year, so I thought I'd check. :) One of these days, I'll actually make a stop - maybe for the MBM3 food/wine event.

Enjoy your weekend in ORD!

A lot of it is tied to the university and to the various engineering and research companies that are there too.

Regardless, the city is quite different from others in that region of the country, and has had an economy that has been quite healthy for many years now, thanks to the presence of NASA and Redstone Arsenal, and to a lesser extent, two universities.

Not exactly - it would give you more dollars if you were to exchange the currency but wouldn't provide more purchasing power abroad immediately. Over time could make U.S. imports cheaper, though.

Thought about that after I wrote that. Leave it to the economists to correct me!! :)

Congratulations. I was hopping to score one of those on a flight on UA but then I went all mainline on my flights so just need upgrade coupons now.
