Sad part is that I am jealous of you being able to fly a CRJ!! On top of that, my Aunt is flying too and jealous of her ERJ experience!!

No, you are not although I am mostly hanging out in the DL Lounge thread this morning since someone over there has opened a crack for the insertion of some humor. :)

A belated thank you. :D I was wondering who had my cell that I had no info on. All of the FTers in my address book are in there by name and by handle just in case.

I would consider taking an aisle in anything but the bulkhead honestly.

If the site would let me change my seats...I guess I could call LH? The TATL seat doesn't worry me because LH already said that there are aisles and windows blocked.

If you guys who know UA are telling me to be concerned about bulkhead space, then indeed I will be.

Morning, Box.

I just got up and had to turn on the heat for the first time this season. The downstairs thermostat is showing that the temp in our loft is 64°F.

Only bad thing is now that the heat is on, the dust in the unit is burning off and just set off a smoke detector.

My booking is, well, different. I'll deal with it at the airport. I'm not too worried. I don't mind the E- seats, really, anyways. Makes me think of CO. ;)

G'morning, Box. Is it nap time yet?

Our managers get a half dozen calls every fall when the residents frst turn on their heat and think that something in the heating unit caught fire.

Morning, Box.

It's not a huge amount of room, but I have survived it just fine a few times without being uncomfortable. I flew ORD-ATL a week ago in 1C on a UA 320 and had no issues with it. I couldn't stretch out my legs much, but it wasn't like the bulkhead was right in my face or my knees were jammed into it either. I've also done a bulkhead F seat on UA recently on IAD-DEN, a nearly four hour flight. This was on a 763, and the space there was tighter, but still manageable. Change the seat if you can; if you can't, I wouldn't be too freaked out over it. It's still a lot more room than in a 31" pitch Y seat.

Good morning sbm12. Nap time is actually on right now but it ends promptly at 1PM when the Giants and Saints start up.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I closed the vent that was blowing right on the smoke detector that was alarming. That has solved the problem. Fortunately it was one of the ones in the lower ceiling section of the loft, where the bedrooms and bathrooms are. We have two smoke detectors in the main area, where the ceiling is 19' high. I have no way to reach those if they start going off.

If I had to bet I'd guess that the 3rd quarter of that game is going to look a LOT like the inside of my eyelids. ;)

I haven't read back in the thread so I presume that last night was a bit rough. I will be surprised if that game induces sleep. That feature will be displayed this afternoon by KC at Redskins.

This is pretty much the typical UA bulkhead experience. The knee room is generally the normal pitch for that class of seats but the wall goes straight down leaving not much flexibility in terms of space for one's feet. I absolutely hate the E+ bulkhead on the p.s. flights but have otherwise been OK. Not in love with them, but OK. If something else is available take it.

As for how to do so, just call 800.UNITED1 and deal with the ICC. It isn't all bad for simple things like seat changes. Just speak slowly and with small words.
