Only bad thing is now that the heat is on, the dust in the unit is burning off and just set off a smoke detector.

UGH... I had to call my land lord as it dipped into the 40s last weekend to find out there is a switch on the furnace that has to be hit to start it the first time in the winter.

My booking is, well, different. I'll deal with it at the airport. I'm not too worried. I don't mind the E- seats, really, anyways. Makes me think of CO. ;)

G'morning, Box. Is it nap time yet?

I could use a nap. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I wish they didint or at least made F&B ones just 40 hours a week instead of the average 50 or 60 a week.

And here comes the "duh" press release related to the balloon family ...

Has anyone tried the Acura Experience at a W? Do they only have certain hours during which they operate? I'm thinking of asking them to pick me up from the light rail station in MSP next weekend.

There are plenty of buffets I'll visit in LAS but MSS isn't one of them.

Morning Box! (or afternoon)

I am sitting in the LAS PC with a packed 753 flight coming up in a couple of hours and it looks like there may be a chance for a bump ^^

Las Vegas just isn't for me. I can see the draw for some people, but none of the attractions really "attract" me. However, there is an amazing Thai food restaurant if you're willing to take a $10 cab ride. It's called Lotus of Siam and has absolutely fantastic, authentic Thai food cooked by actual Thai chefs. The cab drivers will look at you like you're psychotic when you give them the address but it's worth the looks. There is usually a 1-2 hour wait to get into this place so make sure to call ahead.

On another note, the PC here is a decent walk from the CO gates. I asked the guy working the desk if there were any plans to change gates and he said no.

Good luck on the bump and I agree on Lotus of Siam.

A'noon, box.

About to do the 300mi/6hr drive of I-10 AUS-JCT-OZA-FST. There will be much .

At least I'll be able to sleep in my own bed tonight... for one night.

Some signs of life from the Giants.

Relaxing in the "Sinatra Suite" at the 4P Sheraton on I-Drive before my flight

This place used to be a tacky dump when it was a Sheraton. I am glad to see they turned this place around.

I just got an offer in the mail for the Fidelity Retirement AmEx with a 1-800 number to call for instant approval (or rejection, as the case may be). Strongly considering pulling the trigger, but, as you have mentioned, I also worry about the coin teet running dry.

Never been my thang either. I enjoy nice hotel suites and whatnot but after a day or two I'm pretty done.

Get some audio books ready to roll. If I am unemployed by Thanksgiving I'll be making the AUS - PHX - FLG - PHX - AUS drive. Gotta stock up. :)

Chase OTOH has actually been useful, assuming you can cut through the frontline and get to someone who's actually empowered to make a decision.

Post 101010 cool number looks like binary.

I love post 42 ;)

The DEQM posting is messed up or something...

No miles posted this past Friday, though flights should have. Going through and doing the math, I had an IAH-PBI segment post DEQMs, then post half of the amount, coming to 2.5 EQMs.

I'm missing MIA-IAH and IAH-LAS, both of which should have posted Friday. I'll see if today's flight has issues too.

Anyone else noticing similar stuff?
