Full time job?! They still make those?!

Sweet. Managed to get to AMS a day earlier, and still keep the MD-11 on my reward itinerary. IAH-SEA-YVR-AMS now scheduled. :D

J.Edward Oct 18, 2009 10:48 am

First MD-11?

Yep. 80K reward level, too. IAH-SEA-YVR-AMS-DFW-IAH.

Not at the pay grade I'd like to move to.

Good afternoon Box. I must have been sicker than I thought. Slept for 11 hours and I don't feel like crap. Need to get out of that as I have a bunch of early mornings this week

I was in Berlin in January. There is no "wall" to see in most places; however, if you have a long layover there is a long stretch near Checkpoint Charlie. (Most of the original wall has been torn down to facilitate redevelopment.)

To get from TXL to the Central Berlin (Mitte), you need to take a bus to a U-Bahn. This takes under an hour. I will look into my trip notes to see if I can find more details for you.

I have always flown into SXF. There is a wall museum that has whole sections of the wall, it is off the U-bahn just north of the city center.

Bank of America - have five different branches but two are very convenient

* one en route to the office, used most often
* one across the street from office, have to use an out-of-state deposit form

I don't think so.

Hmmm a GS-15 position in D.C.. I wonder if I'd have a slight chance since I'm in GS-14 land. (GS-15=1 star General.)

Copa snuck right in there with post 101K. ^

Actually, I don't know if they were....I've only been to corporate HQ once (and I did eat lunch there but didn't have fries). Now that my segment of the company split off to become an independant startup, I don't see myself going back up there anytime soon.

That being said, I think all the "freedom fries" idiocy was very . "Nonsense" doesn't even begin to describe it.

Gotcha -- I've used BoA here in TX (filled the bags) but the three branches I went to the most said that they were changing the way the bags were counted (4 weeks to credit + fees) so they got a  from me.

Chase OTOH has actually been useful, assuming you can cut through the frontline and get to someone who's actually empowered to make a decision.
