Good luck, Flyer_70!

I had to make the same choice this time last year and have not regretted my decision one bit.

Thanks! I think things will work out ok. It's the great unknown though so always that element of doubt. Ahhh!! :)

But today, friends, today is not one of those days.

Because today, I have a job offer.

Ok, Box - I know it's getting into the dead zone in the evening.. but I plan to quit my job tomorrow (well at least turn in my notice - I don't intend my last day to be until mid December). Sometimes one has to measure happiness vs money. My Mister is completely supporting me on this.. but it is sorta scary!

I wish you the best of luck....may the job fairy smile upon you :-:

Best of luck on how the situation turns out. My previous position grew untenable but I was able to "demote" myself in the same organization; I've gone the last week without sleep aids after a half-decade of .

Well, I got my "new" Delta Skymiles card in the mail today which contained the 2500 NW miles I had forgotten to cash in for those cool luggage tags. I called to have them merge that account with my old Skymiles account which had about 10K in it. The rep on the phone told me those miles had expired and I could have them back for $5:rolleyes:.00. Not worth it considering it's barely half of a Y ticket, and I don't see myself ever flying "The new Delta". I asked the rep if the fee could be waived since their competition doesn't expire miles and she gave me a heapin' helpin' of "NO".

So I told her to cancel both accounts, remove me from all Delta e-mail & snail-mail lists, and ensure I'm not called or contacted by them again. She followed that with "I guess you don't fly very much, huh".

Somehwere in the distance, a dog barked.

So long Delta.....I wish I could say it was nice knowing you....but....

I pretty much feel the same way about them. I've got some orphan miles, which I'm tempted to top off with just enough for a free ticket in the front cabin, and then call it done after redeeming that.

Finally a Continental.com special from BNA and a decent fare even for an E145 (BNA-EWR for $139 RT) on the weekend of Palm Do. Of course, I'm committed to a different Do.

I saw that and then remembered that you were already going to another DO.

The Woodford DO?

The Lexington / Keeneland / Woodford Do, yes. I had begged off the PBI/FLL Do as a result of airfare and other expenses.

Off to bed - talk to you all in the morning.

Yeah 4 DOs all within days/same time, not good timing for someone wanting to make multiples.

:D

The weather should be very nice this weekend. They should have a blast.

Good day box.

I'm on the tail end of my crazy back-to-back mileage run.

It started on Thursday at 6am. EWR-DTW-SEA-IAH-NRT-IAH-SEA-JFK-SFO-JFK.

I'm pooped and looking forward to my bed.

Congrats Mackieman!

It took a while to get caught up on the box.

Off to my last flight!

You forgot to say that you paid me a visit in my new "office", where I was hard at work.
