Same here, plus my shoulders.

It is one of the reasons that I try to avoid CO TATL in Y. I love the BF product, but the coach product is a tad uncomfortable IHMO.;) IAH-AMS was a real killer.

I have decided that the only domestic vehicle probably worth the combined price and experience of ownership nowadays is a Corvette.

I include a lot of Honda vehicles on the domestic list.

Yep. I'm always amazed at how pleasant UA's E+ can be even on longer flights. I never feel the least bit cramped on my cross-country flights on their 763s and 777s, even though my upgrades on those flights never clear. A better seat, plus more leg room, in at least part of the cabin, would go a long way toward making CO more pleasant in the back.

At 6'3" and carrying a few more pounds than I need to, E+ is why I've been slavishly loyal to UA over the years. I had to fly LH Y FRA-ORD a couple years ago, and that was not pleasant. The only reason that flight was tolerable was a decent AVOD system.

I am with you as well. In my last office environment I was lucky enough to have a very nice coffee shop on the ground floor as our "courtesy" coffee was just nasty and I got tired of listening to our COO nag about people's lack of courtesy surrounding it.

I'm not a coffee drinker, so it's a not issue for me. But, at least for now, my employer owns the Maxwell House brand, so guess what we have in the building. On the plus side, we also distribute the grocery-store packs for Starbucks, so we can get that dirt cheap. When I have visitors at the office, that's a popular purchase at the company store.

I do not exclude many airlines in this category, at least the ones without E+. Coach is pretty much sucktastic misery for me.

You certainly could depending on the definition of domestic. I was going more for American-born companies.

One could probably get away with saying that a Beretta/Glock/SIG pistol that one purchases is a domestic purchase because of their plants in MD/GA/NH respectively. But it's a foreign company that established operations here.

Yeah, I read ya. The only time coach gets "good" for me (absent a "premium coach product") is when you can get a row to yourself. Last year I was on AA JFK-STN and in reverse, both ways doing a MR, I had a full coach row for myself each way. It was great like a bed (more or less)!^

Hey COPA, I'm like 98% sure I'm free for supper tomorrow evening. :-:

Hearing about the horrors of LH Y on people not in any kind of good shape was a secondary reason for dropping out of the Star Do in the first place. I've never been put in the position of needing a second seat, and I didn't want an overwater flight to be the first time that happened.

Lie Flat Seating in coach is a joy. I experienced it on LGW-CLE last year and slept most of the way home.

I trust your local judgment in terms of where we go.

Yes, I'll be collecting points and a free night for the homeymoon. :-:

I'll BBM you when I break from my meetings. I'll most likely be off FT all day tomorrow. If my day goes as planned I'll be done around 5. Will fire off urgent emails 5-6, gym from 6-7 and then we can meet around 730ish.

I'll confirm 'morrow.

Ok, Box - I know it's getting into the dead zone in the evening.. but I plan to quit my job tomorrow (well at least turn in my notice - I don't intend my last day to be until mid December). Sometimes one has to measure happiness vs money. My Mister is completely supporting me on this.. but it is sorta scary!

Best of luck, flyer_70!!! :-: My hopes of doing that still rest squarely on the shoulders of MegaMillions.

There is no comparison. Beyond the great beer and food, the ambiance is second to none. Sure, there are more "authentic" places in Munchen, but the HB holds a special place in my heart as I ALWAYS have a ton of fun.

The Spaaten Haus also is quite nice.
