Hi, All! Never imagined I'd be loggin' in today -- but need some advice!!

Just found out my flight from STL- EWR for this evening has been cancelled -- & CO rebooked me on a 12:30p flight t'morrow. I went on-line & got put on the standby list for an earlier flight t'morrow. My question is -- since CO cancelled the flight due to 'flight irregularities' -- don't know if it's mechanical or weather -- is there anything I should be asking for -- in terms of 'compensation' -- or am I just 'lucky' that I am rebooked on another flight t'morrow?!:confused::eek:

No miles posted this past Friday, though flights should have. Going through and doing the math, I had an IAH-PBI segment post DEQMs, then post half of the amount, coming to 2.5 EQMs.

I'm missing MIA-IAH and IAH-LAS, both of which should have posted Friday. I'll see if today's flight has issues too.

Anyone else noticing similar stuff?

No issues here. Although, for some reason I got a "co.com Reissue Bonus" for both of my recent flights even though I made no changes to these tickets.

Good luck with the bump!

If it isn't WX(high winds right now, but just 1 hour 14 min delays) then they should work to rebook you on another carrier.

OK -- I will look into this -- problem is that I am not sure that there are many other options out of STL! Thanks, Steph3n!^

yep STL is a graveyard these days, may be best to just wait.

WN has been really pushing their no bag fee lately on TV commercials.

There is always options to fly to PHL or JFK instead of EWR. but in both cases it can be a pain to get back home from those airports.

I suspect it's weather. Today is a one of those days they'd WX ERJ flights way in advance.

Given "lowest fares" is often inaccurate ...

Hartmann Oct 18, 2009 1:13 pm

The GA said no volunteers needed but te flight is full and there are 30+ people on the standby list...

They aren't saying that. They are saying cheaper flights.

How about the STL-IAH-EWR routing (1:10 a.m. arrival), 2626/420 (less than 1 hour layover)?

I felt the same way. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, and I thought I would be suicidal if I heard that bell noise of the slot machines one more time. :D

Yeah -- that's what I figured (WX)! Also, my car is at EWR -- so am not anxious to put out more $ to get back to EWR from PHL or JFK.

Thanks for the heads up. Will just relax & enjoy another night here -- son was worried that I would have to sleep in the airport!;):D

I'd suspect many of those 30+ people over slept and missed their earlier flight.
