I posted this question on the bmi forum early this afternoon, and have no responses, so I thought I would try here as well, (where the chance of someone having knowledge or opinion are probably actually better than over there).
A couple of questions regarding [bmi coded] flights using Astraeus metal. First, search indicates this to be the case at least some of the time: are the cabin crews bmi's, and not Astraeus'? I'm referring to flights LHR to central Asia in particular. Second, has anyone had any experience, first or third person, regarding the treatment of, and supports to, wheelchair users on Astraeus flights? The reason for it is as a favor to the other half, who is involved in disability rights, both under, and outside of, the umbrellas of the ADA-based laws, and the 14th Amendment. Apparently, in central Asia, the only Western carriers that fly to some places like, e.g., Kyrgyzstan, are LH and bmi. The latter provides service from IAD via VS to LHR, and then via Astraeus. The most interesting thing that I can find out about Astraeus on their Wiki page is that Iron Maiden's lead singer is a captain. I don't think that's actually too much of a recommendation. If no one has anything, no big deal; she'll find out what she needs to know; she always does. |

I miss fantasy football. We should do a Box league next year. Talk of it for this season kinda stalled.

In my league they were 1 point better than the Giants. The defense bottoms out at -6 for yards and -6 for points, so they were both -12 until you factored in sacks, the Giants had 1 and the Titans had 2.:-:
and -7 for the NY Football Giants |

Avro's were the non popular ejet of the 90's. I really wish it had been more popular or a twin engine viable for longer instead of the APU powered quad.
The type is still quite common in Europe. The smaller RJs really killed them here in the US, and once airlines realized that they really did have a need for a 70-90 seat class jet, the larger CRJs and E70/E90 were there to fill that void. I'm quite glad I got my lone Avro 85 flight on NW in 2005. It was a quite comfortable plane and amazingly quiet. |
