I posted this question on the bmi forum early this afternoon, and have no responses, so I thought I would try here as well, (where the chance of someone having knowledge or opinion are probably actually better than over there).

A couple of questions regarding [bmi coded] flights using Astraeus metal.

First, search indicates this to be the case at least some of the time: are the cabin crews bmi's, and not Astraeus'? I'm referring to flights LHR to central Asia in particular.

Second, has anyone had any experience, first or third person, regarding the treatment of, and supports to, wheelchair users on Astraeus flights?

The reason for it is as a favor to the other half, who is involved in disability rights, both under, and outside of, the umbrellas of the ADA-based laws, and the 14th Amendment. Apparently, in central Asia, the only Western carriers that fly to some places like, e.g., Kyrgyzstan, are LH and bmi. The latter provides service from IAD via VS to LHR, and then via Astraeus.

The most interesting thing that I can find out about Astraeus on their Wiki page is that Iron Maiden's lead singer is a captain. I don't think that's actually too much of a recommendation.

If no one has anything, no big deal; she'll find out what she needs to know; she always does.

No experience with the airline but I would prefer to fly with Dickinson before Travolta.

Any opinions on The Fairfax in DC (SPG)?

I was smart enough to play Colston and sit the Giants D while starting the Packers D. Still, I'd rather have the Giants win.

I'm such a nerd that I switched from free shipping on Win7 from amazon to release day shipping. $5.95.:o

Droid does what? I like the commercial, but show me something. I don't care about the building excitement sh!t. http://rolleye.com/angry.gif

Nice. And the reason for eBay is that $400 in purchase cost and "documentation fees" is a lot less than $12,000. Numbers make sense when the continuing costs are maintenance fees and up-front costs are comparatively negligible.

At least you didn't start the TN "defense".

In my league they were 1 point better than the Giants. The defense bottoms out at -6 for yards and -6 for points, so they were both -12 until you factored in sacks, the Giants had 1 and the Titans had 2.:-:

I need Matt Ryan to connect to Roddy White for some major yardage. Since I am a Bears fan, I need the Falcons to not score a TD. :D

Your league has a crappy scoring system.

I miss fantasy football. We should do a Box league next year. Talk of it for this season kinda stalled.

Try the 1980s for that plane. The Avro was nothing more than a slightly upgraded Bae-146, which was a pretty popular plane in its day. UA, NW, and US all had various versions of them operating domestically from the mid-1980s until the early part of the current decade. NW was the last to operate them, but they also had some of the newest types — theirs were actually Avro-branded, versus the -146 that was flying out of DEN for UAEX until around 2002.

The type is still quite common in Europe. The smaller RJs really killed them here in the US, and once airlines realized that they really did have a need for a 70-90 seat class jet, the larger CRJs and E70/E90 were there to fill that void.

I'm quite glad I got my lone Avro 85 flight on NW in 2005. It was a quite comfortable plane and amazingly quiet.
