Hampton Inn Coeur d'Alene is the first Hilton property that I've ever felt compelled to take photos of. I think the room I had there was nicer than at the full-service Hilton Americas Houston.

My partner's LAS-IAH flight just went mechanical because an obese passenger broke his seat by being too large for it , and there are no empty seats on the plane to move him to.

Is the service the real draw to LH F? Their seats don't look too impressive, so I've always been curious about what the real appeal is. Considering LH F for FRA-CPT...

Part of the problem is that I use these on airplane IFE systems as well as my Zune and the media player on my phone. On most planes I end up brushing against the cable where it connects to the armrest jack with my leg all the time.
These obviously have a short in the cable. They're working better now. I'm just tired of having to buy a pair or two a year, and it seems like it doesn't matter if I spend $25 or $150 on them, they still fall apart. My SE530s were a bit more pricey. More like $350. |

There's a Popeye's at DTW? Was that there all along and I just missed it, or has DL already started ATL-fying DTW?

The FCT at FRA is amazing and is probably one of the top lounges in the world, if not the top. |

I've flown the plane this year since the reconfiguration, but only in E+. It was quite sad to walk through F and C past new ceiling and wall panels, new overhead bins, and new premium seats to Y, where we were back to the old 1980s style interior fittings.

The seat is very comfortable, it may be old but you can adjust the recline to any position including fully flat. The onboard food and service is excellent and the ground services in MUC and FRA are excellent if you are arriving, departing or connecting to another LH flight.

It is the ground service. I spoke with several people, including the director of FRA lounge development, about this. They know the F hard product is very dated and they spoke about how it will be redone with the A380 release. So right now the focus is on the F ground experience. The CEO mentioned that FRA-JFK will be the first route that gets the A380.
The FCT at FRA is amazing and is probably one of the top lounges in the world, if not the top. If connecting to LH F from a intra-EU LH flight, what kind of ground experience should I expect? Do they go as far as picking you up at your arriving gate to take you to the FCT or are the ground transfers just available from the FCT to the F flight? |

I could insert all kinds of comments about DL, Atlanta, and fried chicken right now, but I'll be kind and bite my tounge. I'm convinced this city is the most fried chicken obsessed place I've ever seen. You can't drive a mile without passing multiple locations for KFC, Mrs. Winner's, Zaxby's, Chick-fil-A, Popeye's, or a local non-chain place serving the stuff.

I forgot to post this picture from the airport tour at FRA. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2597/...dd6822af2f.jpg We were also told that the tarmac were the Avros were parked was called the Kindergarten Area. So Fozz renammed EWR Terminal A and IAH Terminal B the Pre-School terminals! :D Another fun part of the FRA airport tour was those of us on the buss asking the driver to stop so we could get pictures fo the 747 taxing toward us on video. :D After boarding my Links flight DEN-TUL last night I asked the cockpit for the N Number of the aircraft and they were like, "Why do you need that" I thought an N Number would be better than just simply Floyd, the Bull Mouse!! |

It's nice to hear that LH focuses on the ground and in-flight services to make up for the semi-dated hard product. My biggest concern about the seat is that it looks to be lacking a little in privacy.
If connecting to LH F from a intra-EU LH flight, what kind of ground experience should I expect? Do they go as far as picking you up at your arriving gate to take you to the FCT or are the ground transfers just available from the FCT to the F flight? My work around has been to select the last row in F on 744 which fills up last, so it takes a full F cabin to get a companion. They will not pick you up at the gate unless you are HON, but if you arriving at an outside position and connecting they will send a car or usually a bus that says First Class. That bus will either take you to your connecting gate or the main terminal. They don't take you to the FCT because LH likes to use that for FRA originating passengers. So from the drop off point you go to the FCL which is just as nice as FCT. USA flights leave from A pier so If you go to the B 22 FCL you are guaranteed a car transfer to your plane, the FCT has transfers to all flights, but you need to find your on way there (It is a short walk from arrival area) |
