if you are coming in the busy tourism season (Jan would be busy) there are additional flights out of SJO, there is one that leaves after the 12:40 one to IAH

you can prepay the departure tax at selected branches of Banco de Costa Rica, so you can do that before you leave and its one line less on your way out (you need to take at least a photocopy of your passport and the 26 bucs)

the ride from SYQ to SJO will be at least 20 mins

also to be technically correct, we don't have immigration controls on the way out

Thank you so much for all the info.! ^ I saw that there's 3:55p flight to IAH -- so will plan to book that (reward tkt).
Does Sansa Air fly to SJO? I will plan to prepay the departure tax, if I can -- will be going to the Nosara Retreat for a week!^

Good Evening Box:

Hope everyone is enjoying his/her day. Been absolutely great in CLT as it has been in the high 60s to low 70s with "Carolina Blue Skies.":-:

Now that's

That bad? Is the seat right up against the bulkhead leaving no knee room?

Silly question here, do you have some business downtown ? if you are coming just for the relaxation why not fly straight into LIR (if there is availability of course)

Oopsie. Hard to keep up with the Box between naps out here.

TrueBlue 2 launched tonight. For a frequent long-haul customer there is a potential for over 16% ROI on the travel spend. That's not too bad at all.

Well, I agree w/sbm12 -- lunch was great -- can't remember breakfast -- but had some coffee & croissants at the hotel before we went over to the terminal to catch the charter. The Oslo-Toulouse leg was the longest -- so accommodated the meal service, best.
