UAUA employee morale must be very good. And with smart management, as demonstrated by a commonly recognized term like "employee class," it's hard to see how UAL ever went bankrupt. ;)

Two UA flights down, two UA flights to go.

C lunch on DEN-ORD, 777:

"Asian" chicken salad. Not too bad. Cookie was great.

And two shots flying over ORD on our approach. Gorgeous day for flying today over much of the country:

I had one of the sweetest FAs today between IAH and BWI. She was so nice I almost thought I was being taken care of by a "Stepford Stew" :D
I must be lucky because all the crews on UA and CO have been great these past couple of weeks. (*A hangover ??? ;))

I am not diss-ing UA crews. In fact, most reports in the last week(s) have been very favorable. I'm just saying that it is not necessarily good for customer relations to see a lot of employees in F.

I've long thought that, if the marginal cost of F is sunk cost regardless of who is sitting there, put Y-fares up there by a sequence number lottery or by some other scheme. The "first taste is free" strategy works well for other addictive products.

Just boarded my last flight in Y. Now is when I ask myself why I do this?

I'm ready to be home. At least all my flying today is in the pointy end. No Y for me this week.

Those of you who booked the Andaz West Hollywood deal last night, check your reservations on the Hyatt website.

Looks like we'll be back to Starwood for that weekend.

I made 3 reservations and will likely cancel 2 of them but Im really going to try to get them to honor the suite over Valentines weekend as we wanted to go to LA then anyway.

Posting at 34k feet again

Whatever you gave me in the Tower Lounge worked phenomenally well, thank you. Also big ^ to :rollpuck: for his pharmaceutical assistance.

FRA-PHL was another snoozefest for me thanks to a horrific back spasm that I woke up with. Did wake up for the pasta service and again for the sushi. Smooth flight for all but about 20 minutes.

Oddity: LH A333's in C and F do not have interior overhead bins.

Did you get your first dose of ambien, vicoden, xanax or all three?

None of the above. Tylenol PM (at 12:30pm FRA time - :p) combined with a homeopathic painkiller. Walked on the plane in terrible shape, walked off it feeling like normal.

Glad to hear you made it home. I am in the ORD west club about to go over to the east club and check it out. The size of the club is nice the bar not so much. One bar tender for a very large club. ALso they check in agent mentioned the PC people coming over here to training at one time. This could get interesting.

BTW, do we get drink coupons at the joint lounge in ORD?

Ah the new TSA rules!!

I was LOL here at the UA RCC bar and getting looks, oh well!!

I predict he will hit 787 before the 787 flies!!

I was got my wifi card but no drink chits (dont get them on domestic flight or return from Business flight). RCC has nice selection it seems but the free bar needs to come. :)

I am off to the other end of the B gates and then back to A for my flight on Frontier to TUL. Thanks again for all the BDAY wishes and wish yall could have been along to celebrate!!

ConciergeMike Nov 7, 2009 5:44 pm
