The DCA Club is actually pretty nice. My favorite I've seen so far, though, has been in PHL.

I was referring to flying all over the country in US F more than the club.

A quick question for the Penalty Box:

I'm doing the CO SEA-NRT MR over Thanksgiving weekend. Since I live in NJ, I'm burning out my BA miles for a one-way in F. I have two flight options I can take to get there:

1. AA JFK-SEA, op'd with 757, getting into SEA at 745PM, or

2. AS EWR-SEA, op'd with 737, getting into SEA at 959PM.

For the MR, I'm booked on CO's SEA-IAH redeye which departs SEA at 1159PM. I admit the convenience of departing from EWR vs. JFK is a plus for me (I live in Morris County), but I'm also concerned that the not-uncommon ATC delays in the NYC area could throw the entire MR into jeopardy if I take the AS option. Which option would you take, and why? Again, both flights would be in F.

Well, the AA flight is on a 757 which means leather seats in F, overhead IFE, in-seat power, meal, hot towel service, cheap domestic champagne. Note, the AA flights get into the "A" concourse, so it is not too long a walk to the B concourse where as you know there is a PC, and actually one of my favorites in the system! I go to SEA on business 4 to 5 times a year, and I generally stop in at the PC. Note, using BA miles, you are not entitled to the International Flagship Lounge or Admiral Club in JFK.

Also, you can take the train to satellite concourse and hit the DL-NW SC (obviously need to be a PC member).

If you are flying "F" on Alaska, I believe you may get Board Room access, you might want to check.

Hope that helps!

Anyone know of a brand of in-ear ear phones that don't suck and don't fall apart after three months? The left bud on mine just died today. I get sound only on the right side now.

This is not the first pair that's happened to, and I've tried multiple brands.

What day of the week are you departing?

Also, since you are returning to EWR, how would you get your car from JFK?

Unless the post counter is lagging, or cookies screw things up, this should be my post number 777. It pales before you Evangelists, but it's sort of an aircraft-type spotter's milestone. Or a good omen if I were in Vegas, perhaps.

There you go! Another 100 and you'll hit 787, and then be done with the Boeings.

Yeah, and then 1011, and that's the edge of the galaxy. Nothing but deep space beyond.

Weddings? Funerals? Or just an upgrade on a mileage run. ;)
