Just wanted to point out that it was 80 here today in TPA.

It was in the 50s this morning in Burbank. It was nice to see precipitation not called snow.

Same way...10-15 degrees in NH and I've gone out in short sleeves. I do that when I was in NC and I'd freeze.

I was wearing a simple long sleeve cotton shirt while building an igloo and actually broke a sweat in 5F degree weather, then it got cold! :D

For those of us who have to open a laptop on airplanes or do the occasional red-eye in Y, it's a godsend. You're also much more likely to get an empty middle in E+ than in the rest of the plane.

I noticed this during my flights - E- was packed full on all my flights, but E+ was sparsely populated on all but 1 flight (a short LAS-SFO flight). On 3 flights I had the row to myself which was great.

Roughly the same in FLL this morning, too. It was beautiful, following an incredibly windy/rainy day yesterday. The wedding I was at got moved indoors for the ceremony & cocktails at the last minute because of weather. Still a great ceremony and even better party. Made friends with the bartender early and the refills came frequently and without my needing to actually speak any words beyond "thank you" when it was served.

It actually didn't feel that cold when I got off the plane at EWR and the rain has stopped. Not all that terrible up here at all.

Are you kidding? I love going to FLL for Christmas week. Cocktails on the patio at 3:00 every afternoon in a polo and shorts...right after I've showered from being in the pool. ^^

Good Evening, Box.

Notice that none of them actually live where the cold weather is. I like my hometown for many reasons but weather is not one of them.

doesn't mean we haven't gone and spent summers in the mountaintops of CO or NH for a winter ^

UA has its issues, but E+ is one thing they've done right, and it's led me to maintain status on MP despite not living in a UA hub.
don't think anyone is disputing that it is better than regular coach, it just isn't what some talk it up to being. I'd rather sit in an AC or B6 ejet seat than the UA airbus seats even in E+...

It seems that way. She buys a dog, I do mileage runs. Two can play at this game.

vodka goes down much better in cold weather, even served below freezing in miami, it just doesn't seem right!

Christmas without cold is just wrong. :D

I generally agree. The E+ concept is a solid one and it seems to work well for UA. Being able to pretty much guarantee your elites decent pitch every time is a great benefit. Not a replacement for EUA, IMO, but it is a nice offering.

In football news, pretty pathetic failures by the Giants receiver just now, dropping two consecutive bombs that were off his hands. :td:

No disrespect is meant of course.:) I am somewhat jaded as a former NW PE and a current AA EXP, the upgrade rates were always pretty good. When I was a PLT on AA, I usually got Exit Rows which were just as nice as E+ during my days as a 1P on UA. I don't disagree that E+ is nicer than E- on UA or non-exit rows on other airlines. It was just not enough for me to change my flying based on E+ alone.:)

Finally back in BNA - Hyatt Place didn't have anyone to run shuttle so they reimbursed me for a cab, then I got one of the "random acts" free (non-alcoholic) drinks for the road as a diamond. At the Jack in the Box again, burning off the gift card. Still an hour from home.
