And to have this happening against the Eagles, no less.

I'm still recovering from the time he sang at the Orange Bowl when Wake was in it

I was also there that evening but actually arrived as the anthem was just finished.

Had to look up my answer to this on my FM - turns out I've had only two middle seats this year: BOS-EWR where I got to the airport early and they offered to put me on the earlier flight for free (for 201 miles, no complaints) and a LAS-EWR Sunday night redeye which I clearly don't remember at all. :)

I've been lucky - I've only had one - on a UA A319 from ORD-MSP. Given that it was the last seat on the plane, the next two flights were full and my flight wasn't for another 5 hours - I'll gladly take a middle seat in an exit row to get home at a reasonable hour.

Fiancee just sent me pictures of a small white dog-like object that she wants to purchase. I told her that it looks like toilet paper with legs.

Would be much worse if it happened against the Cowboys as it occasionally did in the old days.

Dunno. I've never used WorldMate. But I love me some TripIt. I like the way it assembles itineraries and displays them, and the new BB app is nice. Plus it is free, which I am a fan of.

As usual, +1. I still really don't get why some just go all gaga about E+. It really isn't all that. When there was some seat blocking it was nice, but since you're now packed in like a sardine, I really don't think it is all that great. I know heresy to the UA Can Do No Wrong Crowd.;):D

Welcome to CLE. Sorry it is a crappy night for you. I'm headed there in the morning, so hopefully it won't ice over too badly tonight.

Ya know, if there was a Winking Lizard close to the airport, I would have been happy, but nooooo. Closest one is downtown. Poop. :td:

Next flight is 8:40am, we'll probably be through security by 8am and over to the D gates sometime thereafter.

You can always put on enough clothing/layers to keep warm. You can never take off enough clothing to keep cool. Ergo, cold is good. :D^

E+ is nice, but it sure ain't no F seat. It's better than regular coach, but even an exit row seat is far better than E+.

Of course, it was sad to see NRSAs in F on all my UA flights this weekend, while elites sat in the back

Cold is nice up north, it can be -2F there in NH and I am out in short sleeves(yes no joke) but in TX it is 13F and totally cold, needing a jacket.

Many times I have been to CO and been playing in the snow as a child with just shorts and tshirt, it is simply not an issue. The snow is DRY, the air is DRY. It is not that cold :D Generally not that windy.

I understand some of the CLE and other great lakes area can certainly feel colder as it has a lot more moisture to the snow and cold.

Same way...10-15 degrees in NH and I've gone out in short sleeves. I do that when I was in NC and I'd freeze.

Notice that none of them actually live where the cold weather is. I like my hometown for many reasons but weather is not one of them.

E+ is better than coach on any other US-based airline (unless you are addicted to turkey grenades). If I'm not going to be upgraded, I'd take E+ over Y on any other airline unless I can get an exit row on CO. For those of us who have to open a laptop on airplanes or do the occasional red-eye in Y, it's a godsend. You're also much more likely to get an empty middle in E+ than in the rest of the plane.

UA has its issues, but E+ is one thing they've done right, and it's led me to maintain status on MP despite not living in a UA hub.
