If only wishing made it so...

The laptop itself is not too bad, especially that I've beaten into submission (90 second boot time down to 35 seconds). Just a bad keyboard.

Great, looks like the corporate-owned politicians have found their angle for combatting Net Neutrality. They're gonna wrap their opposition in the flag and call it an abominable government takeover of teh intertoobz and an impingement of free speech.

I have a couple of issues with Net Neutrality but McCain doesn't hit on any of them.

Stifle innovation? How, by keeping companies from developing throttling technology?

WWTBD: Need to make one run to make Plat. IAH-DEN is $90 o/w. The return is the same price. It's not a new FM line but it gives me the miles and some good air time.

Myabe it's worth chatting with them tomorrow at the job fair.

I'm in favor of any option that would allow for start-ups to have competitive access to bandwidth, without fear of a small oligopoly controlling their price of admission. I could easily foresee throttling being used as a weapon to stifle competition.

Have you flown Frontier? If they have a similarly priced one-way, you could do them on the return.

I still vote for a new FM line. :p

If you can't find anything similar that gets a new line, $180 isn't bad...

That was my attempt at sarcasm. I think the move by Comcast does more to stifle competition than any net neutrality legislation.

I caught it. I was actually attempting to agree with you. I think something needs to be done to prevent throttling, whether Net Neutrality as presently conceived, or something different. Placing artificial constraints on the network can't be good for overall innovation or efficiency. Those controlling access will be able to game the system in a way that would turn UA MP members green with envy.

I thought UA fired Air Whisky (who now does most of the US regional flying out of PHL, having put $$$ into the US/HP merger). Also, don't non-revs have a dress code?
