Oh yeah... that's weird to see happen... (A dorm I stayed in a couple nights got nice and cool - AC running on high - nonstop - but when we walked on the floor near the A/C... the tiled floor squished and water shot up :eek:)

If you liked that, you'd love Houston between May and September. When people are indoors (as they usually are during those months), their skin will cool to the ambient, air-conditioned temperature. The interiors of buildings will also be far less humid than outside. Once you step outside, the extremely hot and humid air will begin to condense its moisture onto your relatively cooler skin. It's like instant sweat.

The exterior windows of air-conditioned buildings, buses, etc., will also all have condensation smeared all over them during times of high heat and humidity (June-August, except when High-Pressure Systems just mean it's relatively dry and positively scorching). It is not uncommon to see moldy residue on the exterior of some glass-faced buildings that are not visited by window-washers on a regular basis.

I've known plenty of people who didn't have a connection to a water system, but had wells that provided running water in the house. I assume you mean no running water as in, outhouse and no way to just turn on a faucet and water comes out?

Worst. Feeling. Ever. I hate that step outside and instant condensation mess. And if you're wearing glasses it's even worse, as it means you'll be instantly blinded when your glasses fog over the second you step outside into the festeringness.
