This is probably wasted on teh Box, but the Houston Ballet level 8 students (the good ones that are in the productions) are debuting their solos this Friday at 7:30. Sadly, not presented by Continental, but happily, is free.

I'll be meeting my new nephew in BOS for the first time.

Should I hire CO to make my dinner's?

Don't turn on the heat, or set it to a lower temp?

I'm personally a fan of setting it on about 66 in the winter, throwing an extra blanket on the bed, and encouraging the cats to sleep on the bed by my feet.

Is 66 the awake temp or sleeping temp?

And I've mentioned my desire for 58 unless I have company. I build huge nests of comforters as well.

I grew up during the Carter administration (for those of you too young, we were asked to lower our thermostats in the winter and raise it in the summer as well as shut off lights when not in the room) and won't do the temp below 72 when it's cold. I'll turn on the fireplace if it dips much below 60. If I'm at a hotel sans Plus1 I will put the heat at least at 78 and have done higher. Plus1 has shown up at my hotel and frequently asked if I was growing orchids. :o:rolleyes:

Oh yeah... that's weird to see happen... (A dorm I stayed in a couple nights got nice and cool - AC running on high - nonstop - but when we walked on the floor near the A/C... the tiled floor squished and water shot up )

We've been known to set it down there in the winter for both day and night, and a little colder when away from the house for long periods.

I grew up in a 1800's farmhouse without running water and had to light the kerosene stoves in the winter - I had to carry one upstairs for me and another for my middle sister each night (youngest sister is a decade younger and stayed in mom's room). I take the "live simply" to heart to continue doing things I want to do, namely travel now and still retire early.

58-60 sounds good... for normal operating temps :p (including hotel rooms ;)

58 is the temperature when I'll be occupying the house - with gas heat, I can go down to ~50 if I'll be traveling and still have the heat come on for dampness control / protect the pipes.

I currently have it at 67 in the day to keep the bills down but I prefere 68. At night it drops to 63.
