Where you getting your updates?

My father has a hardware store that has been in my family since the early 1940s. While I was in high school he had a lady come in and buy a washing machine on lay-away. Once it was paid off, he went to deliver it to her, got it out to her house way out in the country, only to find that she had no running water and no electricity. Apparently she never realized those two things were needed to make this appliance work. The washer went back to the store and she got a refund.

That one was in the Community Buzz thread for the DO. Other updates from the DO website (sbm12 posts), twitter, and photo search on flickr.

I might stay up for a few more minutes at the flight is now scheduled to land in under 10 mintues to see if there are any interesting tweets.

Reminiscent of the joke about the [your preferred ethnic group]woodcutter who is told that if he bought a chainsaw he could double his production. Goes to the Monkey Wards store and buys a gasoline chainsaw. Two days later he returns it, saying it must be defective, because he only was able to cut the same amount he did with his hand saw. Salesman says "let's take a look," and starts the saw up.

Woodcutter says, "What's that noise?"
