It's been a crazy week and it's only half over. :(

The box's media blitz continues. I was interviewed at EWR for CBS News. They were doing a segment on CO's entry into Star and Mileage whoring in general. It should be interesting to see how much of it makes it into the news.

I would even watch the CBS news for you :)

Yep. I was speechless as he was telling me the gory details. And apparently he only knows part of the story.

I don't know the cultural reference but it's definitely a messed up scenario.

You mean there's more?

Haha — unfortunately I have no idea what this lovely creature looks like. I've (fortunately) never met her. Just heard the stories.

I personally can't stand the sort-of friend she showed up with. He disgusts me for a variety of reasons. I'm actually quite glad I wasn't home last night to witness all this. Supposedly the worst of it happened after my partner left the bar to go home.

A movie with rabbit stew.

As I've moved over to a card that provides 2% cash back (when I purchase a new/used car, which is going to be needed soon) and awaiting a decision on the Fidelity Retirement card, I'm in the mode of:

* A $1,500 deposit pays for my gas for the week.
* A $1,550 deposit pays for car insurance for the month.
* Two $1,200 deposits pay for cable and internet.
* Two $1,500 deposits pay for the Blackberry ...

I do want to negotiate with one specific bank branch to decrease the frequency of deposits but increase the size of deposits ...

I figure I can churn $1500-$2k a week without much issue. I'm not going to attempt for $71k or anything.

As tempting as even the small amounts seem, I just can't imagine the  I'll get at home with the scheme, or the hassles that having the boxes delivered to our loft will present. Our place isn't the easiest to find, and half the time UPS and FedEx have trouble getting stuff to our building correctly. On top of that, I'm never home during the week, and my partner doesn't get home until after 7:00 PM many nights. And I just don't need any other things I have to be responsible for taking care of right now with the load of cr@p I have going on at work.

I'm sure I'll look back on it at some point and wonder why I passed up such a golden point earning opportunity though.

I do understand the cultural reference "Screw you guys, I'm going home".

No, it's not. He has a good Southern name. Right out of Gone With the Wind. Literally.

Yep.

I will never be able to look at the friend's brother without thinking about it again. As my partner said, Skanky Tramp is about four steps below truck stop lot lizard on the sleaze factor.

After the amazing routing for BL JR and I, I came home to book Plus1 for his simple IAH-LAX (to pick up his daughter) -HNL-LAX-IAH. Yep, you guessed it - more than my IAH-NRT-GUM-HNL-LAX-IAH (which were all a combo of B and Y fares and a very, very small mileage upgrade). I may have to ditch this trip and just figure something out for she and I to do before we have Thanksgiving and come up with a plan B. I also have a weekend where Plus1 is gone and have figured out a routing to get 24k (with double eqms) without her missing any school. Sigh. That was so perfect.

I read this as his flights were more expensive than yours? What was the issue? (I'm not too bright.. lol. :) )

I wonder what officer Cartman would say about this situation?
